Hi well i got a really good bargain on new microwave from tesco its a silver digital one with grill also ,for only £44,50. So very pleased with that plus used £18 worth of clubcard vouchers towards cost of it hope you all have great weekend:T0

Well done on the overtime money Mit, you put the hours in you deserve it! Bet your DD is excited for her holiday!
x0 -
Kitty that's a great buy. We don't have a tesco near us and need to drive aout 20 miles to get to one, so I don't bother. Princess she is very excited except for the fact that her and her BF keep falling out . I reckon if they weren't off on holiday then they would be finished. We'll see what happens when she gets back. She is going to start saving for a deposit for her first property when she gets back and we are going to go into the property business. I will be solvent by the time she saves up enough and will be able to save money to help with renovation costs. We will spend the next year beavering away and getting organised. If this works out then I intend to partially retire at 50 and only work a coupe of days a week and spend the other days doing property developing
. Very exciting
.
Went to ASDA when dropping DD off and spent £38.50 on even more food. I bought new storage tubs for £5 and some tights. So all in all a very spendy day today and I had only £30 to start out with :rotfl:. This unfortunately means most of my slush fund has gone but I will pay it back in when I get paid. I must admit I do love having that money in a wee separate account as it means if I need it I can borrow from it and pay it back later. It means I am never stuck. Going to really try the next few months not to touch it though and am also going to try and pop away £100 each month from now until end June so I have £500 for my 2 weeks off which will mean DS and I can have some spare cash to have some fun whilst we are away. I have booked my friends caravan for a wee week in July and I will give her £150 to cover costs and a wee donation towards her fees. She is going to join us for a couple of days. My brother is also going to come up for a night as well and then my other friend is coming for a couple of days too. I will take all the evening meals with me and food for the week as there isn't really anywhere to buy anything whilst up there. My friend ( the second one lol) is booking a different caravan for the second week and DS and I will go and join her for a couple of days that week. Both close enough to home so she can get back quickly as her Father is very ill but far enough away so we feel on holiday. Fingers crossed we get some sunshine. She will get a shock mind you when I visit as last time we went to the caravan she fed me a pot noodle for lunch . Not acceptable :rotfl:. I hate that kind of carp food. Yuk !!
I also spent £44 in the butchers but I have enough meat from that to make 15 meals so it was well worth the money and the meat is yummy. I usually buy my meat from the butchers when I can get there ut this horse meat fiasco has made me even more determined to stick to the butchers in future, TBH I dont know why I even buy it out of the supermarkets as it is a false economy and we end up binning half of it. I have not bought any cold meat this week though as still unsure what will be safe. It's a total disgrace that the consumer i.e. you and I have been so blatantly lied to and ripped off. Makes my blood boil . So my lovely local utchers will get my business from now on. DS and I had mince and potatoes tonight for dinner and a cottage pie for the freezer. It was fabulously delicious.
DD is involved in a flash mob in Glasgow tomorrow so I am heading up there to watch it. I am out for a walk first so a nice day ahead for me. I hope the sun continues to shine. Catch ye xx

Still a wee bit of snow on Ben Lomond and a couple wee snow flakes today but nope we've hardly had any this year. I've had my snow shovel in my boot for ages too and the grit bucket is sitting at the front door. Been cold but really mild winter
. I just hope we get some summer this year though as last year was pants

I've had a lovely lovely day today but spent too much again .
I went for a walk this morning with my friend who I haven't seen very much of recently due to a variety of reasons. We walked for an hour and had a good old catch up. Beautiful morning spent walking along the riverside. Heaven
Then had a very quick lunch and DS, my brother and SIL all headed into Glasgow to watch DD and her dance troupe doing a flash mob. My brother was videoing it and it was great to see. They had a lot of fun and Glasgow is so alive that I love going but it is like a big day out for us as it's a good 40minutes from us. I spent £3 on parking but my brother bought the teas.
On way home we stopped in the halal shop and I wished I hadn't as it is now another food shop I am in love with. It was like a spicey wonderland. My brother has introduced me to spices in a big way over the last couple of years and I must say I am loving it. I have a chicken jalfrezi marinading just now for tomorrow night's dinner as my son is a spice fiend and it is his choice for dinner. Oh and as long as you don't use ghee or oil then it is very low fat and free on slimming world diet
.
I made steak tonight ( a rare treat) with slimming world roast potatoes, boiled potatoes and broccoli. I made a mustard sauce which was phenomenal if I say so myself and the dinner was awesome :rotfl:. We then went into Morrisons. I tell you this healthy eating lark is bloody expensive. But ever so delicious.
I am now chilling and have a wee cheeky day off tomorrow as DS has a check up in Yorkhill for his ears. I will use the afternoon to bake and get organised for my charity day on Thursday. Exciting times5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Hi folks. Wee day off today as had DS at Yorkhill for a check up on his ears. Great news as he has now been signed off after 8 years of attending. He had major surgery on his left ear to remove a tumour and it has not recurred and is now unlikely to do so
and his hearing was perfect today. So all in all a fantastic result for him
.
I had rest of the day off and had big plans but unfortunately I've had an IBS flare up and een on couch most of the day. Feel a bit better now thank god. Despite that I have managed to clean the bathroom, do 2 loads of washing, make a curry from scratch ( yum yum) , made 2 gingerbreads for Thursday so not too bad. Going to chill out now and hope the pain does not come back.
Spent money on DS at the cafe in the hospital and also at the burger van on way home. Wee tradition for hospital visits so we had to end the last one following tradition. Cost me about a fiver all in. Going to send away a cheque later for DD's passport so another spendy one . Payday on Friday thank goodness
