Hi folks. Am doing ok today. We had a great day at the footie. Atmosphere was brilliant and we loved it. Got 4 tickets and parking all for free. We ate our lunch before we went in but we took food in with us but knew we couldn't take drinks. Spent £10 in the arena and £10 in KFC on way home so a pretty cheap day all in all
.
As you know I am clearing my mum's out so just to give myself additional stress I am clearing mine out loads as well. You have no idea of the amount of stuff I have dumped . I am being ruthless. I have had stuff lying about for months to go onto e-bay or to sell at a car boot but I am just going to donate the whole lot to the charity shop that raises money for the hospice my mum was in as I need to clear my space so I can clear my head and get my life on track. I know I could make some money but tbh it would only be a few pounds and at this time it is just not worth the hassle to me. I need to sort myself and the kids out whilst I have the chance and get back to a normal family life of some sorts. We had such a good day today that I am determined to make sure we have many many more and if my life is on track in other areas then I will have lots of time to do this. Even sorting out some of DS's room tonight I found loads of board games and we will definitely be starting games nights again ASAP. We used to have such a lot of fun on those nights and minimum cost for a few goodies.
Dunno about you guys but I am really enjoying the olympics. It is very inspiring how motivated all these athletes are. We should learn lessons from them.
As for the £12k's I cannot wait until I am in single figures. Now that will be a red letter daySnowball says February ut wouldn't it be fab if I could do it my end of year . I'm fantasising now :rotfl:

Beautiful sunny day here today so I have 2nd load of wash just about ready to put out on the line. Line drying makes me sunny
.
Heading into my mum's today to hopefully finish things off. I am not coming home until it is done. Then will just need my brother and the other guys to get all the heavy items moved out on Saturday when we get the van and mum's house will be cleared. I will still have a week off of work so I can hopefully chill next week instead of running about mad.
I need to shop today as there are no basic foods in this house. Not been proper shopping for weeks and kids now moaning loudly. Life is difficult when there is no bread
. Need to also go and pay the balance of mum's funeral as well. Busy day ahead but I will get it done and dusted as quickly as I can.
Hope everyone has a nice day xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

What a sh*te day. Tears tears and more tears.Went to cemetery and mum's flowers are all dying which upset me . Paid off the funeral and that upset me. Spent time in Mum's clearing things out and bawled my eyes out. A lifetime of belongings now broken into piles of charity shop, skip, me, my brother, other family and it is just so so sad to see it.My heart is breaking today. I think we are all missing her today as the kids keep posting pics and videos onto facebook ( the modern way ). They were all heartbroken at my brother and I wanting to close mum's facebook page so we turned it into a memorial page for them so they can post messages to her but it would break your heart to read them . My DS is 14 and posted to her today ' Gran I miss you so much, I miss coming to see you.......... love you xxx' Of course I dissolved. They all have her as their profile pic. I just have a massive ache and miss her so much. Sorry xx

So sorry to hear you have had such a hard day, but your Mum would be so pleased to know how loved and cherished she was to have created such feelings and memorials.
It's like that old saying 'When you are born, you cry and the world rejoices. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice'. It certainly sounds as if she achieved that aim. She must have been a truly wonderful person.
I'm sure she's watching over you all. Big hugs XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

(((MIT)))
I'm sorry to hear about your mum.
It is only to be expected that you will be upset while dealing with your mum's stuff - do not beat yourself up about it.
I'm never sure which is best with regard to clearing - if they are local authority then of course the house has to be cleared within a certain time frame and so you have to get on with it but for home owners it could drag on for a long time as obviously selling takes a while and the clearing can be put off.
We had something similar when M-I-L had a stroke and went into a nursing home. Luckily because she was in hospital her rent was still paid by the council and when the decision was made about the home we had a further 12 weeks so we had quite a bit of time but of course clearing a 3 bed house which the family had lived in for 40+ years was . It was awful clearing it and to be honest most of it was rubbish so we loaded up a lorry, took it to my mum's and burnt the lot - I'm talking furniture (MIL was incontinent so not worth keeping), carpets and old papers and books.
It must of been heart breaking for my DH to see it all - obviously he didn't have to deal with her death at the same time.
When she did pass away she only had a small amount of stuff which fitted in her room at the nursing home and actually we boxed it up and came home - it was so much easier as there was not much sorting to be done.
Hope you can carry on with the clearing and then next week make sure you have some time for yourself :T0 -
Big hugs xxTrying to shift that debt!0

It's a new dawn and a new day blah blah so I will stop being the snivelling wreck I was yesterday and get on with it. I feel better this morning
.
I spent £143 in ASDA yesterday. I need to learn that lesson and not shop when I am down:rotfl:. The kids are delighted mind you as they have ice lollies, ice cream, cakes, biccies etc etc no fruit mind you.
Bank account is very scary and I have £120 to do me all month . This needs to buy any further shopping I need, petrol, a 21st birthday gift ( godson) a 25th wedding anniversary gift ( brother) a christening gift and a weekend away. No problem !!! GULP !!
I knew it would be bad but not this bad. All monies for DD have stopped as she starts work on Monday. She'll get no wages until 15th September  so I'll also need to keep her going with cash. Oh well I'll just need to think of something. I love a challenge :rotfl:.
Sun is shining momentarily here so I best get on with it. Have a lovely day all xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
