I hope your mum gets on ok in the hospice for the two weeks.
From the way you describe it, in a previous post, the hospice sounds quite good.
Sorry to hear you've not been very well today and hope things pick up for you.

Hope your mum gets on well in the hospice. It's not the same as being at home but she should be very well cared for. I've only ever heard good things about hospices.
We're facing big decisions about my dad's future care as my mum is now ill herself.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Aww Sea I feel for you as I know exactly how you feel. It's the worst feeling ever. My mum has made the decision herself which makes things a bit easier on the conscience.
I might be off but life is still very busy. Was due to go back to work tomorrow but doc has given me a further medical certificate. Something else for me to feel guilty about. I hate being off sick but I just cannot face work just now.
I am still getting up early in the mornings as I am putting DS out to school and DD to work. I need to try and keep life pretty normal as i am terrible for staying up way too late and turning night into day. I can't do that just now though as I am too busy. I have done all my ironing so far this morning and 2nd load of washing is in. I need to get washing and ironing up to date as DS is away for the weekend with my brother and then he is off to France for his school trip on Monday. Thankfully the weekend needs joggers etc as it is an outdoorsy thing he is doing so no big rush on Sunday night to get things washed and ironed.
Hopefully a low spend today but we'll see. Take care everyone xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Mum is going into the hospice tomorrow. I am actually quite calm about it all and that worries me. I'd much rather be upset etc tonight and fine tomorrow but am now worried that I will be a wreck tomorrow. She doesn't want to go in in an ambulance as she finds it too sore on her bones so we are taking her in her wheelchair in a taxi. I have aconite which is a herbal anxiety remedy so I reckon I will swallow the bottle before I go. So if any of you pray then say one for me so I cope with it all and get her in and settled xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Thinking of you and your Mum. Xxx:j0

Well just as I thought, I was in bits. Managed to pull myself together by the time we arrived at mum's and although the tears have not been far away I managed to get her in and settled. I'll head back up tonight and see how she is getting on but my brother and I were there for a good few hours today with her. She was exhausted though so we came home so she will rest.
Spends wise, I don't give a b*gger as what needs to be done will be done and I can sort it out later. Such a peaceful experience being in the hospice though and definitely good to know she has 1st class care in place 24/75 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
