What a great weekend. So proud to be British. I have thoroughly enjoyed the programmes and ceremonies on television , makes you proud to be a part of it all. Fantastic I say :T.
NSD today. My very good friends birthday so went down to see her but had sent her a voucher for Amazon as she had gotten a kindle and she can get some books with that. I took her a bottle of really nice wine I already had in so no cost there. I had a nice quiet day but managed to get some cleaning done. Cleaned kitchen and bathroom and did a washing. It was a gorgeous day here today so it got dried outside.
My brother dropped in earlier so I had a lovely chat with him and then went down my friends tonight and had a lovely chat with her and my other friend came out as well so that was great to get a catch up. We are all getting together at the weekend for her silver wedding so I am really looking forward to that. Mum is doing well just now. Such a roller coaster for us all as one minute you think she is desperately ill and then she rallies round again. Very exhausting emotionally.
Anyways I am still off sick for another week so will take full advantage and rest and chill as much as I can. I really need it to be honest and should have given in weeks ago and took time out. Never mind I'm doing it now and hopefully all will be well when I return to work.
I hope everyone has had a great weekend xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Another wee day today watching the royals
. Thoroughly enjoying all the pomp and ceremony.
Quietish day today. DD is working, DS is being a lazy git and I have nothing really to so until about 3pm when I will head into my mum's
Hoping not to spend again today and I am desperately trying to stick to healthy eating. Had 2 boiled eggs so far and will have tomato soup ( asda smartprice but very nice) and some bread then fruit and yogurt for lunch. I need to be very good food wise all week as I have my friends party on Saturday and I will end up with major liver pain if I am not very careful all week.
Bit boring with nothing happening in the bank accounts because they are shut so I cannot juggle figures etc until tomorrow. I need to see exactly what money I have as I am thinking I will probably have to use the Christmas savings money again this month as I really need a nice dressy top for Saturday ( I have a wedding later in the month as well so it will do that as well ) and I still have a few things to get DS for his trip. I'll just go later in the week and pick up what he needs. He loathes shopping so I am better off without him tbh.

We are enjoying all the tv coverage as well - makes you very proud. You are doing so well on your journey - keep going.
Just a thought re raiding your Xmas money for a nice top for the party. Could you get something via Ebay or a good charity shop? I was attending a wedding evening last autumn and trudged round the shops looking at lovely but expensive tops. Went to my local Marie Curie shop and found just what I wanted, perfect condition for less than a fiver and actually had comments on how nice my top was!! Didn't say where I got it from.:rotfl:0 -
love your name Amishwannabee. My DD wants to be an Amish too but there's no way she could do without her make up and fake tan for long enough :rotfl:( she's18 and these things are important :rotfl:).
I am a great fan of e-bay and my local charity shops but being a big lass its not quite so easy to get things form there. I will try though. Thanks for reminding me.I'll let you know how I get on xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Good morning. Well it wasn't an NSD yesterday. Far from it actually.
Went to ASDA and seen a lovely dress for me. It was only £16 and I spent £5.60 on hair dye as it really is time that I started taking some pride in myself. Spent another £27 on DS on shorts, swim shorts and 12 pairs of socks for his trip. £3.60 on food :rotfl:.
Was at my mum's in the afternoon and she was in good form. She is on a new morphine tablet which is suppressing her breathing, which sounds bad but basically it is easing her struggle to breathe, so she sat and yapped all afternoon :rotfl:. When she is like that then I just sit and listen as it is completely pointless trying to speak as she wants centre stage :rotfl:. Really funny actually. She's always been a blether but the medication has taken it to a new level . My poor brother comes out of her house and has his head in his hands saying his ears are bleeding as she talks incessantly. Wee soul but it is wearing sometimes if you're tired. DD is going in tonight to see to her dinner as she has offered to take her turn to take the strain off of my brother and I. It's great now her and my niece are helping as it makes a huge difference. It's so exhausting having to go into my mum's after work, make her dinner and do the thousand other jobs she needs done, then come home and make the dinner here and do the thousand jobs needing done in here. Needs to be done though so any help we get is a bonus.
So I am still off of work on sick leave and today I am going to tidy up and start on my DS's room. Wish me luck as there is a nasty smell coming from it that I need to investigate- god help me .5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Well all the plans I had went up in the air today. I had a call from Mum's care co-ordinator and I had to end up going in at tea time and didnt get home until 9pm . Her night time carers had complained that she was getting too much for them so she had to be assessed by the district nurses tonight and I wanted to be there as she gets so excited she just talks drivel and then tells you all the wrong things when she feeds back to you. I was kind of expecting this as one of the carers at the weekend had refused to put my mum's hearing aid in and then wouldn't get her medication out of the box for her. Now this was morphine and not just a paracetamol. She desperately needed it and this bloody woman stood and watched my mum trying to get this tablet out of a blister pack with her teeth as her hands are so bad. I was really annoyed and told the co-ordinator that I didn't think that she was best suited to the job if she could watch a terminally ill old woman do that and not help . I mean seriously !!
Anyway she got all worked up when I told her they were re-assessing her and started to cry saying she didn't want to go into the hospice yetsuch a shame. The nurses were amazing with her though and she talked the lugs off of them. I'll see their boss in the morning and discover what they want to do about her. It's just a constant worry.
I spent £4 today. £3 for DS's lunch and £1 for medicinal chocolate for me :rotfl:
DD's dance is tomorrow night so she has had her nails and her spray tan done tonight. One slight problem is that she also has her interview tomorrow for her apprenticeship and will be there tanned mahogany and with the talons on lol. I told her to make sure that she tells them she is going to her dance and that that is not normal attire :rotfl:. So fingers crossed for her folks as she wants this badly5 Year plan. Good morning. Up bright and early to go in for another assessment with my mum. I should have said yesterday that my mum had different carers over the weekend because of the jubilee. Her usual carers are angels and I dont know what I would do without them.
So last nigh ton checking my account I noticed there was payment of £66 in my account from tax credits and today there is another one for £64. This often happens when you put in your end of year figures and I can heave a sigh of relief that there's no overpayment
. So the extra money will pay for the trousers I still need to get DS and for my friends silver wedding cake
. So it's all good.
DD is having kittens as her spray tan has gone a bit weird. Now you would think she would be more worried about her interview today but nope :rotfl:. I swear I'm going to have a heart attack between her and my mother today :rotfl:. Just joking obviously.

What a sh*t day yet again. I am so so glad I am off of work. I went into my mum's for 9am this morning and district nurse was already there. The nurses from last night had fed back to her and she was happy enough with the way things were going for mum and we discussed lots and lots of options of care for her , like moving her hospital bed into her lounge etc to make her more comfortable. So all seemed well then the doctor called me on my mobile to tell me that the hospice had a bed for mum and they could take her form today. I nearly passed out on the spot. I burst into tears and poor doc got me snottering and sniffing down the phone.I called my brother and he came in and we along with the nurse spoke to mum about it all. She was crying her wee heart out. Because she is quite well just now she doesn't feel ready to go in yet and wants to stay at home. Understandable. But my god the thoughts in my head are all running into one another. My brother and I are going up tomorrow to see the hospice and we can get a better idea from there. I think for the moment though we will be turning it down.
In the meantime DD had her interview. I had to plaster on a smile and act as if all was well. She thinks she did okay at it so my fingers and toes are crossed for her.
In the other meantime the DWP were on the phone to come and interview mum and I so I can become her appointee. I swear I am just about off my bloody head. My brother has taken over dinner duties with my mum tonight and I will take DD in later when she is all ready in her finery and her Gran can see her. I'm then going to spend some time with a friend and take stock for tomorrow as I reckon it will be a very difficult visit ahead of us.
I know there are millions of people worse off then me but right now I can't see beyond my situation .:(
