  • Just finalised all my sums and the news is not good.I have managed to add over £7k to my totals this year. This is awful. So second LBM ( or 3rd,4th,5th) and here I go again. I have set my minimums at the lowest level of £250 per month and tbh until Christmas is over this might be all I manage. I am setting it so low as I want to eat into it but without loads of pressure on myself.

So I am now paying interest on most of my debt but I will just start hammering my Bank of Scotland card down and get rid of it ASAP.

So my plan of action is to pay minimums to everything else. I have 6 cards and bust BOS ASAP. I will start paying cleaning money off of it for a start on top of the minimum payment. I will menu plan again and I will just be the frugalest frugal person in the history of the world. Well in my world anyway . So here we go again and tbh it's a relief to get the figures up and start afresh as I definitely lost it there for a while. So here I am for the next 13 yrs . Aye that'll be right :p

  • Just checked the interest I will be due to pay !!! I will only be reducing my debt by about £20 per month if I only pay minimums. That'll be my motivator and I will keep the interest noted again in my signature so I can see it reducing each month

  • Hey MIT

Hope the carpet fitters have been and gone by now!!

I have every faith that you will crack this. But now you will be doing it in a beautiful shiny newly decorated house and Im sure this will help give you the determination to keep at it. I always feel so much better and ready to fight the world when the house is organised and lovely.

Hope your few days away are fab

    xx
  • Thanks Princess. They are all done and dusted and place looks awesome. I am a very happy MIT tonight. I also have a fair bit of carpet left over so I am going to sell it. I have some vinyl too that could do a small bathroom or kitchen so it will go up for sale as well. I also bought a wine cooler a few months ago. I really don't have the room for it so I am going to get rid of that as well. I'll sort it out when I come back from my wee trip.

    Dinner time now :-)

  • Hi folks. We're home after cracking couple of days. DD didn't win but she was in the top 3 female candidates in Britain . She got a cracking trophy and £50 cheque so she was well chuffed. She was treated so well by her managers and they made it very plain that it was all about her. Nearly everything was free but I still managed to spend nearly £100 . It was worth it though as I was really proud of her. She was the youngest there and the only 1st year apprentice. Awesome :D.

Home now though and house is still a mess and I am way too tired tonight to do anything about it tbh. I will sort it out after work tomorrow as I will have more energy then but it has got to be done before the end of the weekend as I am back in work on Monday and want the place perfect before then.

So I am now on operation frugalness and healthy eating as of tomorrow morning. I am looking forward to getting sorted out with both to be honest. Wish me luck ;)

  • Good Afternoon folks. Been out doing cleaning job this morning and for the first ti,e in months I have actually used it towards my debt. Feel a bit despondent about it though as paid £32.50 off and £29.15 added in interest. So basically I worked like a navvy all morning to get £3.35 off of my debt. TBH this is a good thing for me to see as it's the amount of interest I am paying that spurs me on to get rid of the debt. So watch me fly from now on as my interest is going to be phenomenal and I hate it.

My SIL is away to costco today and I have asked them to get me the tray of lean mince so I will pay her for that when she gets back. I have also ordered 10k of chicken for £25 from local butcher which I will pick up on Monday. I reckon that I will have minimum spends the rest of the month on food so I am going to try and get a few Christmas pressies sorted out. I have loads to do today as I am determined that my house will be perfect by tonight and tomorrow other than going out for dinner to my wee Aunties I can chill out :D. Catch you all later xx
