  • Busy lady as usual. Congratulations on your trek away with DD. how is your friends son?

money can be paid back, you know how to knuckle down and get through it.

    :)
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • My friend's son is doing well. He was discharged on Saturday night and now back up in Scotland. She looks like a bag of sh*t mind you but at least he is okay. Looks like it might be Crohns that he's got but biopsy results will take a while.

Just got an e-mail telling me we never got our commonwealth games tickets :(. Will need to find another way to get there. Might need to do a voluntary type thing now as I am determined I'm not missing it. My DS will be devastated.

DD home from her trip with her pals and she has dumped her BF. Had him in here earlier and he is gutted. Oh the drama of it all .

SBO you are right, I will knuckle down and pay it off. I am just antsy as I haven't finished spending yet so have no idea where I am at and it is freaking me out.

I just want to run away ( said in a mad womans sing songy voice) but I will just stay put :rotfl:.

So dinner is on. Healthy eating NOT . Chicken nuggets, french fries, croquettes, hash browns and beans. It'll no doubt be delicious and we will all pat out bellies when we are done.

I'm away after dinner to rip up my bathroom floor. Happy days :)

That's my kinda tea, with all the cleaning you have been doing then you will soon burn the calories off.

I wished I had gone to see the Olympics last year, even the road races where you didn't need tickets,so good luck on the commonwealth games next year even if you have to volunteer.x
:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.00
  • DS and I ripped up bathroom floor and he actually hardly moaned at all ;) now that is progress indeed as it's usually a shouting match to get anything done. So now have bare floorboards in there too . Have offered the laminate on facebook if anyone wants it. I hate the sight of it now and just want rid of it tbh. Bathroom looks huge. I am getting white vinyl for it so it will look great when it is done.

Watching whitechapel on catch up- pretty gruesome I must say!! but am enjoying it. See you tomorrow xx

  • Your house is being absolutely gutted MIT! It will be like a showhome when you are done :)
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • yep SBO I am. It is minging that's why lol
Hopefully once it is done it'll be a while before I need to do anything else, Fingers crossed anyway.

Pay day today. I need to figure out what to do and who to pay as I will not be able to do everything I want to. I will pay minimums and I need to buy an outfit for DD's awards ceremony. I also need to keep some money for that as I am sure we will have some spends when we are away. Too many avenues for my cash to go in :(. Never mind.

I;m a wee bit concerned about my job tbh. . After years of having too much to do we are now running out. It is defo concerning and something has to happen soon.

Just made tablet and hasn't worked out as good as usual :(. I used different sugar and it's gone all weird. Not amused :(

I'm watching whitechapel and its scaring the bejeesus out of me. Has anyone been watching it?

    Trying to shift that debt!
  • I am a woos as well but this is like dark stuff rather than scary scary iykwim. Brilliant stuff

Ordered my carpets and vinyl tonight. Bloody hell. Got 25% off the vinyl. So I have ordered vinyl for my huge kitchen, vinyl for my loo, carpet for hall and stairs and carpet for 3 bedrooms. I got whole lot for £1150 including underlay, rods and grippers and need to pay £280 to fitters when they come . In shock.com :rotfl:BUT it will look awesome when it is done and will see us through for a good few years. Am happy.

Other than that it was a NSD.

DD Has still dumped her BF. Poor boy is devastated but she seems quite relieved to have finally ended it. He wanted me to talk her into going out with him on Friday night but I said no. I probably could talk her into it but I am stepping back and letting them get on with it.

Had HM chips for dinner and they were amazing. Free potatoes from my friend's garden and new oil. Had with lasagne that I had made a couple of weeks ago and nom nom does not even begin to cover how lush it was. Tablet went down a storm today even though not up to its normal standard so no waste there !!

Anyways, have a good evening folks xx

  • OMG!!! I've got an interview!! 16th October. I haven't had an interview in 15 years and that was a promotion board . Am so excited and feeling quite hopeful. I mean they would be crazy not to hire me :rotfl:.

I would save a fortune as I have a car pool ready made for me. I would only take my car every 4th week. Also the job is in the middle of nowhere so no shops or anything for me to spend any money. Also they finish at lunch time on a Friday and another also is that their wage maximum goes higher than mine so within a couple of years I would be earning at least £4k more than I am just now . All definite plusses. Would just be really scary to leave my job of 25 years and all my workmates but I am a people person and would be absolutely fine I'm sure. EEK !!

So today I have had to fill up car and I took my work pal out for lunch as she is 50 next week but I will be away so I won't see her. No other spends so not too bad.

I need to buy a new phone. I use my phone constantly. I use internet, texts and calls all the time. I am indeed an addict. And my phone is broken :(. I have tried with a wee cheapie one of my nieces but I am stressed oot lol. So I will bite the bullet and get a nice new one. I have a very cheap contract so I will keep that and see where I can get the best deal on a phone. Obviously I will quidco it. Hope everyone is well xx

  • Just reading MIT! I am west of Scotland aswell! Congrats on interview, you will be fab! 25 years alone will say A LOT for you! My phone and laptop are BOTH broken aswell!!!

Fortunately my dad is giving me his old blackberry! I'm not on a contract - Giffgaff is the way forward! I LOVE IT!!! If you are not on it, you should look into it. £10 a month, internet, free texts, free calls. I love love love that I am not tied in! x
