Hi, thanks for reply. But I'm confused, Tesco used to recredit vouchers but they stopped doing that last year, they now have to be exchanged and used. I'm saving for a holiday and I used to phone and ask for the expiring vouchers to be recredited which they always did without question. The last time I phoned I was told they no longer did that and all vouchers have to be exchanged before the expiry date, I have had unused exchanged day out coupons recredited in the past too but they said they don't do that either now! These rules were brought in last year and there was a thread on here about it at the time.

I do not know the answer to that one but........

Once you have exchanged them for reward tokens in the T&Cs at the back of the rewards brochure (feb12)

    19. "Tokens that are unused but in-date can be returned to Freetime for a points refund".

Hi, thanks, will dig out the book and have a look. Googled my query and came across a Tesco online statement dated Jan 2012 stating they no longer credit in date (about to expire) vouchers back to the account. They used to credit expired/lost vouchers last year when the web site was set up but have now stopped that too. Its so silly though isn't it, as it looks like I've to use my vouchers then go round in circles to have them recredited from the unused reward coupons! Although I was definately told last year that I couldn't do that anymore! I'm suprised there are so many conflicting opinions here on MSE, maybe someone in authority can contact Tesco and get a definate statement.

It also states this online under Rewards T&Cs. just had a look, so if they have changed they have not updated their website!!

Whilst looking up the current T&Cs I have noticed a new one.

You are now not allowed to extend the life of your vouchers by using them and getting more than a 50% refund on points.

I do not see how they can say this, if you only want something say worth £10 and your voucher is say for £30 what are you supposed to do?

I've exchanged £25 of vouchers, (these vouchers being used is showing in my account now) this was done yesterday morning and i exchanged them for garedning vouchers to be used online.

However, these aren't shoing on my online account, so i can't use them on tesco direct.

Unfortunatley my tesco account was registered with my old work e-mail address (I ahve now changed this), so I don't know if they were e-mailed.

Any suggetsions - will the e-vouchers appear in my account, or should i phone them?

    Blimey what a palaver!

In case it helps anyone, if you need to find the cheapest items in your chosen category to make it up to a multiple of £10, there's a link you can click under Special Offers on a product page of an included item that says "included in the XXX Clubcard exchange" and it shows you all the items included in that category. Sort by price and Bob's your uncle. Finally I found something reasonably cheap that I actually wanted!!

It may vary the response depending who you speak to, by all means try again, as I said earlier Tesco have been sending out emails warning people they have some about to expire, and last November the statement then mentioned about unused vouchers - many of those got put back for a later date.

    Lazer:

Ring Tesco Freetime 0808 1000 707 (option 2) to check what email they went to, they may be able to resend them .....

I have just had my flat decorated and bought a red toaster from Argos and a red kettle from Tesco, but I've just noticed a very small scratch on the kettle, tho its not the side I use the handle on, I know its there now. I bought the kettle using the double up scheme and ordered online paying £20 in vouchers and £9.97 on my card. but am wondering if I was to change the kettle for the same model on the last day tomorrow, wether I can do this. I picked up my online order instore. The picture on the boxed kettle I have is the same as the kettle, but in store the pic on the box shows a different model and corresponding number to that kettle, but has the kettle I bought online in the box and on display and its £5 dearer so not sure how to go about this as I contacted Tesco Direct by phone prior to ordering my kettle, but he said some stores have different model numbers, but they tally on the Morphy Richards site. The toaster, which was more expensive than I bought in Argos is now the same price, so i could have paid £20 less for that too lol!
  • Anyone know what happens if I exchange the vouchers and then do not like what I have purchased (thinking of getting camera, but hard to decide looking online and they don't have much selection in my local store) can I get the vouchers credited back?
    Thanks

Nope, you get the original clubcard voucher amount put back onto your account. E.G. You double up £50 to £100, you return the camera, you get £50 vouchers back on your clubcard account.
