Speed camera on motorway bridge?

OH has just got a speeding ticket for being caught by speed camera off a motorway bridge. He was driving a porcshe (107mph) and thought he saw them but wasn't sure if they were checking speeds. He has had a letter telling him about his offence but no evidence. Do the police have to furnish him with proof of the offence? We would like to know this before we get into any throwing up of hands or whatever.

Perhaps he best just throw himself on the mercy of the court. 107 mph is way too fast and imho he deserves to lose his licence for a while.0

over a ton and expect, no guarentee to loose your licence.. oh yeah!0

Over a ton is usually an automatic ban - hope it's a long one !0

i have to agree with the above posts that is far to fast, he should get a ban.0

A years ban for every MPH over the speed limit.0

Thats the the whole idea of the speed limit. Do the crime, pay the cost.0

107mph in a 70mph limit is very dangerous - could he have stopped in the distance seen to be clear? I think not - speeders such as these should lose their licence forever.0 -
A good lawyer might be able to reduce a possible ban to points & a big fine. A colleague of mine was caught doing 70mph in a 30 zone. A good lawyer managed to get the ban reduced to 6 points and a £500 fine - main influence being that he woudlnt be able to work without a car etc etc.
At the end of the day, if you can afford a Porsche, you can afford a good lawyer!!If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0 -

You can ask to see the evidence if you challenge the ticket. At 107 MPH your OH is very likely to get a instant ban."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Okay point taken on all of the above but I did post to ask for advice - not for the 'morality brigade' to jump down my throat! I just hope that anyone who has posted above have never done anything wrong or broken a law.DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0
