M&S were a bit on the tight side. I'll give BHS a go. Thanks
  • Just a word of warning for anyone who has bought Aldi's school uniform today.
I bought 2 pairs of age 8-9 boys grey trousers inside leg measurement has shrunk 2cm after first 40 degree wash. I measured them in the shop to check the size and now they have gone too short with no depth to the hem to make longer.
It is a shame as the polo shirts washed well with no shrinking and the trousers feel nice quality but I suppose you get what you pay for!

Got the boy shoes, plimsoles and trainers and love the quality esp. when you consider the price. Sizing also very good - they looked small but when I tried them on my son's feet they fit nicely.
The socks feel cheap but then you are buying them cheap, the tighs felt nice - just no good to me. Jackets also nice again at a low price (unless you find another Asda / Tesco glitch!) look snug.

Still lots of bits e.g. shirts, socks, undies etc left at the Seven Kings, Ilford branch at 3pm

Is it me or is there not as much choice as last year?I made a special trip to my superstore tesco this week and was v disappointed at the v limited stock they had as it was v hit or miss (apart from the polo shirts and shirts which took up a lot of the display).I went into m & s and again there wasn't a great selection on pinafore dresses etc.I thought debenhams was pretty pricey even with the 20% off and again their selection was v v limited.Am I missing something?Am I too early or too late? What's going on?lol:rotfl:

Can I ask if anyone knows where to get school shirts but in a ladies size 12? schools decided this year it has to be shirts and not blouses
    Thanks

would older girls by age fit ie 14 years, 15 years etc? BHS, M&S etc all go up to those ages in school shirts afaik.

It's not just you, I found, certainly with Tesco, there was a better choice online than there was instore.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Debenhams have 20% off schoolwear. This jacket looks decent. There are also codes that may work for a further discount. Link to codes here

I also bought my DS some trainers for PE from Sports Direct for £9, which I thought was good. Just plain Reebok classic,
