Got some 50p strawberries tonight :j
was going through them and a couple were a bit furry. I've chucked the furry ones, ate half the punnet (and feel fine 3 hours later), washed the rest and put them in the freezer thinking that freezing will kill any mould spores remaining.
reckon I'll be alive or dead tomorrow?A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
You will be alive
Furry strawbs will not kill you, they will taste so awful & musty you would spit them out firstEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

You'll be alive - bit of penicillin on the stawbs won't kill you. Frozen ones don't defrost well though - they'll turn to mush. I don't know how you managed to resist eating the whole punnet - I would have0 -
They tasted all right, but had turned to mush.
I was being moneysaving and splitting the punnet between dinner and breakfast. Next time I'll just be piggy.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Ooooo Make your mushy strawberry stuff into compote to have with your muesli/porridge/cereal. Someone I know goes to the market at closing time and buys up all the "past best" stuff for this purpose.
That is, unless you have been poisoned, and then you probably wont feel like breakfast?0 -
I fancy trying to make some fudge and have found 2 tins of condensed milk in the cupboard. The only problem is they've been in the cupboard for a LONG time and the best before dates are May 2011 and June 2011.
Do you think they would be ok to use or should I not risk it??New House... New Mortgage! February 2017: £144,000

I would open them and as long as they smell OK I would use them. And no doubt have at some point!0

Glad someone else asked this - I have three tins all out of date last October and I am loathe to throw them out. Will make chocolate coconut truffles and millionaire shorty with them now :-)Every days a School day!0
