    Hello everyone

I found these in my cupboard, they are in unopened plastic packets and the Dried Blueberries have a Best Before end of October 2011 while the Pumpkin Seeds have a Best Before March 2011.

Do you think they would be safe to eat?!

Thanks in advance for your replies :T

I am sure they will be fine, check there isn't any mould.

    Almost certainly yes

But if you are doubtful your local bird population will be eternally grateful. Or at least until they've scoffed them.

Probably fine - as always use the 'look, smell, taste' tests on them.

I would imagine the seeds might be a bit stale but will probably perk up with a gentle roasting.
    Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!

    Hi

I made a cheesecake on Saturday with egg whites and popped the two egg yolks in a ramekin in the fridge. I was going to use them today to make a sabayon but have just looked online and found that all the information about storing eggs I can find says they will be ok stored in the fridge "in a tightly sealed container". They are not even covered. Should I throw them away?

Also, how long will the cheesecake store for given it has raw egg white in?

    Thanks x

  • Add some milk, pepper and whisk up. Put in hot saucepan with a knob of butter, put some toats on.

Add Mushrooms, ham or cheese or anything you like. Put on buttered toast and eat.

As for the cheesecake, I do not like them so cannot comment.

If you do not post again, we shall remember you most dearly and take heed, that my advice was incorrect.

Haha - thanks! I have a recipe to use them in, just didn't know whether 4 days on they would be ok...
