I'd definitely use it. I have no idea how long any given thing has been in my freezer!0

I agree, if it's been frozen, it won't hurt you. It may have dried out, so I'd definitely use it some way that keeps it moist; and don't be surprised if it tastes a little stale, belly pork has a lot of fat on it and that can suffer from long periods in the freezer. But not dangerous.0

Been clearing out my freezer and just found a tube (!) of sausagemeat 400g that I bought last year from Sainsbobs when they were selling them off for 50p in the freezer section. The best before date is Dec 2013  Would you still use it?0

The food standards agency says 2 months but they are going to be cautious. I don't eat meat so can't really say I would eat but would feed it to OH!

Frozen food remains safe indefinitely. The guidelines for freezer storage are for quality
The above website is American, but I've been unable to finds any info' like this online from any UK agency. The Food Standards Agency regulates the food industry. The info' from the NHS is less than useless. If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?
