Hi all
Just found some mouldy cheddar at the back of the fridge. Thinking I might use the non-mouldy bits to make some cheese scones?
What do you think? Just tasted a bit and it tastes stronger than usual but edible. Will it be OK in the scones do you think?0 -
I would certainly use it, many a time I have been known to cut the mouldy part off and eat the rest of the cheese0
-
It'll be fine. Just remove the mouldy bit and use the rest as usual. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

I've just found a haggis in the back of my fridge. It's vacuum-packed. Use by date 2nd January. Would you cook and eat?0
-
No, sorry I wouldn't. Its not worth the risk.0

Even Raymond Blanc trims off the manky bits and uses stuff, he said so on Food and Drink tonightPlease forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

Update on the haggis situation: I opened it and it didn't smell quite right, so went in the bin0
