Hi all
I made a pasta salad last night (pasta, peas, corn, cheese and salad cream) and as there was no room in the fridge, I put it in the microwave and closed the door, meaning to make room in the fridge later.
Anyway, I forgot about it until now and wondered if you guys would still use it for packed lunches tomorrow? I had planned on using it for a few days, but won't use it more than tomorrow as it has been out...
Or should I just throw it away?

If it were the freezing depths of winter in my icy kitchen I possibly would. However, knowing the risks of the mycotoxins which can grow in rice and pasta which are not chilled quickly I'd bin it in this warmer weather. They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0

I'd eat it (providing it smelt and looked ok ).
It's not the middle of a heat wave and I'm assuming the pasta was cold before you mixed all the other bits in....I don't see any issue."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
I always leave leftovers of all sorts out on the side overnight (or even for 24 hours) and still eat them. I have never been ill yet!0

Help please
Have just made a maidera cake using a packet mix that I found lurking at the back of the cupboard.
Cake looks and smells fine, but just went to clear up and throw the packet away and noticed the expiry date is August 2012
Was going to share it with my neighbours to say thanks for being there for me, but now scared I might poison them !:o
Would you eat it or not ?
Thanks for any advice

IT will be fine.. it might need a bit of baking powder to make it rise better or an extra egg or something but it won't kill anyone.. it is basically a bag of flour and sugar!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Sometimes flour can go 'off', it tastes cupboardy [no other way to explain it] but if you can't smell anything wrong with it, it'll be fineNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
