Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.

There are 3 levels per day with Level 1 being very basic, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. Feel free to mix and match to suit your own personal circumstances.

Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

    Hi all,

I've been AWOL for a while and my house is testament to that so I'm back in this week. Don't have BH tomorrow though but will do what I can.

Hope you're all ok, looking forward to checking back in with you.

Been out most of the day today but we did buy a new hoover while we were out. I am planning on getting quite a bit done tomorrow but we'll see and then see how the rest of the week pans out!

Just a quickie, what do you use for S&S? Do you have a cloth for each room?

    My own bits are:
Move work clothes into spare room
    Dismantle bed
    Take up carpet
    Dismantle wardrobes
    Remove curtains, blinds
    Sort bedding for CS

That is all my prep done ready to start filling, sanding etc the week after. Hate that bit, grr.

I use a damp microfibre cloth for everything.. I have a dry one for the windows and my wet one that cleans everything and 1 I use for the floor.

Dancemum.. well done on your savings!!! £900 is amazing.. and if it hasn't made much difference to the gibble in the house you should find the next £900 easy too! :D

DD2 and friend have been told off.. because I am evil.. they should have been back at 8 and they weren't... they also had asked if they could go to the park and were supposedly at some other friends house who I don't know.. that is not acceptable! Anyway.. heinous tasks for her tomorrow and I shall be calling the friends foster parents in the morning.. it is a bit late now (I never call anyone after 9pm) .. and letting them know she abused the trust they put in her and I put in DD2..

    TD and WM on again

DS3's blood sugars have rocketed again this weekend.. I think it might be the stress of going to KH's.. but he is in trouble as well for punching DD3 in the face on Friday at church group .. KH said he shouldn't be allowed to go next week, and TBF he wouldn't have been allowed to go had it not been his sister he hit.. but KH punished him by not allowing him to go to the cinema this morning and one punishment is plenty IMO.

2 large bags of books emptied onto the bookcase.. those strawlike tesco shopping bags with bugs on.. 2 of those packed to overflowing.
Vacuumed the middle and front rooms and the hallway.
Cleared some rubbish and stuff off the sofa so it is much clearer.. there is a pile of OH gibble he will be nagged about tomorrow.

Spent weekend clearing out - spring cleaning by bin bag!! I have a huge pile of papers to shed and have just realised it is too late to start shredding.

Hopefully that should make this week easier

Have done my expenses (well, those of them that have made it through the system... why do credit card transactions take so long to turn up???). The cash ones are the most important, so they're done now.

Bit of work admin to do, then might manage to fit in a bath before bed. Tomorrow is mowing, laundry, maybe a quick hoover/flick through with a duster and then packing :( Three days to pack for, very different weather.
