It was not bailing his parents out any more than a private company would have done on the same terms.Mrs_Arcanum wrote: »Unfortunately because he was a good son and bailed his parents out he is now prevented from buying his own place at a time when he needs it for his family.
He is getting a good investment in doing this.
Some of us on here think (though the OP hasn't responded to such comments) that the investment could be handed over to a company on the same terms if that's what they want to do freeing up money for them to buy a house for themselves.0 -

The point missed here is the OP is not interested in the "investment" or the money which will come from this sometime in the future. The cost of this investment is being born now, as they are unable to move into a place of their own, investing in their own future.Truth always poses doubts & questions. Yes, which is why (again) some of us think that he should be able to pass his investment over to a company. He would no longer have to pay the mortgage and would no longer be entitled to the house.Mrs_Arcanum wrote: »The point missed here is the OP is not interested in the "investment" or the money which will come from this sometime in the future. If that's what they want then I think it is possible.0 -

No, I pointed out that not earning required compromise, not endless treats! He does not earn sufficient to cover his existing commitments plus the treats the OP wants for her and her daughter.Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.

Ok, so i thought i would just be polite enough to conclude the ending to this mess, we have since sat down and spoke to the nessasary people.
We are selling up the house his mum live's in as we have now decided to look for a home with an annexe or potential for, this is because were looking at around a £240,000 home, although this is becoming a little difficult as in our area that does not get you much we will hopfully get there in the end im sure & above all lee, his mum & myself are all happy with this. Its not perfect but i learnt from many of your comments that you sometimes have to compromise!!
I feel we all benefit from this. I would like to thankyou all for your comments Good & Bad, Nice & Harsh, although i must say some of you made me very upset:(, But like my friends have since said "what did i expect putting myself & thoughts out there like that was asking for it"... I was so stressed  at the time i was struggling to think before i wrote.
"oh and turns out lee wage increase was higher than i thought, so also holidays are no longer a things of the past".. even though some of you though i didnt deserve a break lol...
Thankyou again, maybe you should go a little easier on the next one.:beer:0
