I came, I did about 20 days, I gave up.
Well, now I’m back, and currently at 22 hours smoke free!
Need to beat 20 days now, and hopefully kick the habit, so here goes! Got the e-cig in bedroom, temporary office, car!
Wish me luck!

I did that twice before... gave up after a few weeks. Third time lucky! I'm on 7 weeks 2 days and so far so good.
I do wish some people (certain family members) would understand how it really is. I was smoking for 20 years, nearly 2 thirds of my life! But, my OH is all the support I need
Got loads of wedding planning stuff to do today so my mind will be well off the fags today!
Well done to everyone and keep it up:beer: Been smoke free for 4 years!! :beer:0 -

A mate of mine smoked for 20 years, then just announced one day he was quitting and he did, no fuss, he said he didn't miss it after a week. This was all despite some people at his work constantly offering him fags, in the end he took a proffered packet, threw it on the floor and stamped on it. :rotfl: He wasn't offered any more
He can't understand why I just couldn't do the same, tbh, neither do I.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
I have managed 1 day smoke free! Using step 2 patch and minis.
Can't wait for it to get easier0 -
Well done rainbow Dreamer, that's great! It does get easier as time passes, take each day as it comes and enjoy your achievements.Grocery Challenge Sept 2021 £95.40/£500

Well done everyone, looks like things are going well:beer:
Well the little craving I had the other day has seemed to disappeared:) Only thing now is I have a craving for sweets, bought a large bag of Starbursts yesterday, they were on offer in WH Smiths so I bought a bag. I dont really like sweet things, I'll have the occasional chocolate, only if it is plain chocolate......... I hate sugar on anything, wont even have it on grapefruit so I wonder why now I've got this craving for sweets?
Hope today is a tobacco free day for all on heretotal airhead, total bimbo, very superficial:D0 -
Think that's six months tomorrow!
It's been tough and i owe alot to people on here who have helped not just with the quitting but with the huge amounts of emotional 'stuff' in my life.
House is now officially on the market - it's only taken 6 months to get it there . lots of curtain twitching along the street when the sign went up:rotfl:
Seen some lovely places in Scotland at the weekend - i only have one problem - haven't found anywhere that will fit my piano as yet - not sure if i can downsize that much as i'm very emotionally attached to it but we'll see. Maybe it's just one of those things that have to go for the sake of me getting the better life i want and need.
Anyhow - hope everyone is having a great smokefree day/week
and well done to all those still off the cigs and also those trying to quit as today's triers are tomorrows non-smokers;)
Hugs to all

Hi Chrissie! We won't split hairs over a day, apart from that, I'm guessing perhaps you may be working tomorrow. Many congratulations on 6 months FAG-FREE!!!:T:T:TYou might have had us helping you out along the way, but it was YOU who succeeded with you quitting - not us! You've done wonderfully and I know just how proud you are at such a massive achievement!! :j
I really do hope you find the house of your dreams, especially up in Scotland and can accommodate your piano as they're very relaxing for both player and listener (unless you hate the sound!). At least your house is on the market now.
Take care Chrissie, hubby too.

Just a word of advice, CKhalvashi, if you're not quitting for you then you won't stand so much chance of success; quitting just for others also could make them and you feel guilty if you just can't manage it. Think of the reasons why you would wish to stop for good, health, money etc.. Write them all down and display them, much more enticement. All best wishes with getting there!

Had a great time at the hairdressers and ended up having quite a bit cut off, it really is uplifting to have a treat like this now and again. Think I might buy a dye in a week or two if I remain smoke free. I might as well have a total overhaul for the upcomming family wedding.
I have bought some lower nicotine liquid and i'm going to try and use that during the afternoons to start with, to start the reduction process.Grocery Challenge Sept 2021 £95.40/£500
