Hugs to everyone who needs them at this time :)

Right I'm making my stepdad a mini movie hamper its going to have batman blu-ray a bottle of something micro popcorn maybe a bag of pretzels & some sort of sweets my problem is what can I put it in that I can buy cheaply as funds are low at the moment

Not sure how small your hamper is, but would a covered shoe box work ?
Have just designed some gift tags for my digital cutter.

I have been invited to do my first ever stall at a fete and I am very, very nervous!

What if no one buys or likes my wares :(

I am sure you will be fine. Post some pics so we can see what you are making.

Hi all, thanks for all the great tips :) Love this thread! I confess I was one of the ones who bought the Gosh nail polishes on your recommendation earlier and now they are out of stock so as I feel a bit guilty I'll pass on something else I bought that'd great for pamper hampers...

http://www.montagnejeunesse.com/gifts are doing packs of 5 face packs in different varieties like fruit or chocolate. Normally £5 but with code XMAS25 they are £3.75 delivered so not bad for 75p each I thought :)

We have watched home alone tonight and am waiting for my spare room to be clear (loads of eBay auctions ending this week!) before I start wrapping and crafting!

Thanks again for all the good ideas :)

The choc orange face mask is YUMMY! Smells good enough to eat. And I got 3 masks out of the pack, where the other ones usually only stretch to 2.
Thank you for the Christmas pudding bin liner and crisps idea... I will be sure to get both of those : )

    Glad I could help. :)

    Bottle of drink-cola, beer, etc.
    Pringles.
Slippers-home bargains had some for £3.99 and asda are quite cheap too.
A mug. Sachet of hot choc
Fleece blanket-Dunelm have some lovely Christmas ones, or primark has plain ones cheaply.
    Hot water bottle

Have a wander round poundland. I'm sure once you get going, you'll think of loads of ideas.

Bought 2 small toys for boys I look after with the Mr T club card exchange so effectively half price. Am adding those to their tins I've made up with marbles and toy soldiers. Will add some snowman soup too.

Random question but can I ask where you got your marbles from? My mum is looking for some and we don't really know where to look. Tried Poundland, Wilkinsons, Asda and Sainsburys without any luck so far.

Do you have a Home Bargains? Micro popcorn is 29p in there, they have big bags of Sensations crisps 59p and loads of different sweets. Depending on what drink he likes you could get one of those large bottles of lager (650ml Heineken is £1.50 at Asda atm) or a mini bottle of wine (some for 99p in Home Bargains) or if he likes soft drinks 1.5l of coke are usually £1 somewhere. (Waitrose atm) :)
EDIT: Sorry just completely read the in and it the wrong way round in that sentence lol! What about a waste paper basket/bin, Ive seen the wicker ones in Pound shops and you could bulk up the bottom with tissue paper or even extra crisps or something and it would be useful afterwards. :)

For everyone thinking of contents. I read PUT IT IN, which is why I said covered shoe box.

  • My new next door neighbour (moved in in the summer) has put Christmas lights up already in her front window.

My outside lights always get switched on on the 1st. I am usually the first on our tiny estate so she has beat me.:rotfl:DH would not let me switch on any earlier and can't argue with him as he is an electrician and sorts them out.;)

Any ideas of how I can creatively give an Amazon gift card or an appstore card? I feel I have googled it to death and found nothing that my dh would appreciate! It also needs to fit in a stocking!

I saw something in new look Monday

    http://instagram.com/p/SNY8jfrJF4/

I hope that link works, its a flat cracker with a gift card in however firstly they told me I had to load it with at least £5 (even though I just wanted to buy it with the minimum allowed which i've later read online is £1. So I thought ok I will but then it would not scan through the till!

Has anyone got any ideas of something similar? Dont know if its lack of sleep but I just dont seem to be able to find anything creative!

I work for New Look, we have a problem with the cracker gift cards, certain batches are faulty, and some of the barcodes arent working! It is a £5 top up for this gift card and the music download gift card, the rest are £1 top ups :) x
