Thank you all for the welcomes. I really can't say enough, just how much this thread has inspired me to make some gifts for Christmas. I've made a couple more today for the Inlaws. I've personalised a couple of mugs for them with Sharpies. MIL's has a rose on it as she's very into gardening, and FIL has a hammer on his, as he's a dab hand at diy. Drawing is not a natural talent for me, but I'm totally tickled pink with them.





I'm going to get individual cupcake boxes for them, as I think they'll look quite good in them.

I've also done some wrapping today. I've thoroughly enjoyed myself.


jeningers I'm glad to read that you had a good midwife today. I know the hurt you're going through as I've been through it too. (hugs to you) x

they look fab JJ. Are cupcake boxes big enough? I've got 2 mugs and I was just looking to see if I could find mug boxes but they aren't looking cheap.

Thanks Chickywiggle. I'm not sure, but I'm popping into the local cake decorating shop tomorrow to check it out. I'll post as soon as I know. Failing that, I'll pop into our local shoe shop and see if they've got any empty childrens shoe boxes, and use those instead.

JJ your mugs look lovely Can i just ask, are you using regular sharpies or are they special ceramic ones? And do you need to blast them in the oven to seal the ink please?
OMO you made me laugh - i like the idea of putting all presents into gift bags to avoid wrapping! lol x
