  • well that helps some..stepdd's now are not coming til boxing day. their mother is being a ***** again & basically told dh by text they dont want to come & if it wasnt for the presents they wouldnt bother coming at all. dh rang his dd (15yo) and she just said "were not bothered dad, cant you just drop our presents here so we can have them xmas day". Dh is understandably very upset, & as he's working in scotland again all week i cant even comfort him! i know it sounds selfish & mean, but in a way i wish he would agree to NOT give them presents, they should come cos he's their dad, not cos we spend money on them! its such a tough situation, i want to support dh, but i really also want to teach those kids that their dad is more than just a money-machine!! grrrrr. sorry, rant over

That is terrible! I can't believe they would be so awful as to say that :( I'm with you on this, they need to be taught a lesson - but as you said, you're stuck in the middle.

Well all that stressing for nothing. OH just rang and said go on Amazon and buy me that game cos its on now and its cheap.

So I said well you can't buy it as its on your Christmas list and people have seen your Christmas list and could be buying you it. So he answered "well if I buy it now then it can come off list"

BLOODY SMARTPHONES!!!!! he was on dinner break and browsing the deals.

Since I have already ordered it as a gift would it be cruel to say I am wrapping it for Christmas so he can't have it until then?

Am going to apologise now for the number of post I am going to do. I have just tried to multi-post and got in right state.:o

Honestly I was all over the place.:rotfl:

    Anyway here we go.

ReformedShopaholic you have my deepest sympathy. They are a blo0dy nightmare.
I had a complete tantrum last year while shopping with dd.
I had got her a dvd as a surprise and she saw it while shopping. She went on so much about wanting it, that I shouted at her in the shop.
' I've already got it ! Happy now ! You will have no surprises on Christmas day and I don't care any more! Just stop going on about it !'
I was so upset, as I really wanted it to be a surprise, but I couldn't help myself.

Off to find quote number 2 now.:o

The plan is shop for a couple of days, clean the house from top to bottom for a couple of days and then put up the decorations! It's time to get very festive in my house. :)

They have a readymade gingerbread house in Aldi for only £1 more if you like. Haven't opened the kit yet but usually there's pieces of gingerbread in the right shapes and you get instructions on how to stick it together with icing. I had Lakeland's last year but the Aldi one is less than half price and has good reviews.

Also forgot to mention that in M&S they had some lovely juice drinks with a felt reindeer head on the top. Very christmassy and my daughter really wanted one. I went to poundland and got the 4 Felt Father Christmas Bottle top covers and put that on a bottle of ribena for her instead. It was 4 for £1 for the santa hats so am doing the kids a drink each for the christmas eve hamper with the sant hats on. Cheaper and you get to pick the drinks too. HTH x sorry if already posted xxx

Mine is still in his underwear.

That sounds like something to do with my little one :) As long as no cutting or shaping is required that's fine by me... it'd end up being 2d then! :D

    Thanks
