    The secret of Christmas
It's not the things you do at Christmastime
But the Christmas things you do
    All year through

  • Looks like everyone is getting on well with their shopping & wrapping etc!
Went shopping today and got almost everything I needed.
Had a big sort when I got out back and sectioned things into piles. Need to begin wrapping tomorrow!
I stamped all my parcel tags with my East of India stamp earlier & also filled up all my 'vintage' jars with sweets and tagged them. Need to do them with celophane and ribbon to finish them off.
Also on the to do list is to buy something small for both my mum & dad. And decide on what to get as my nans main present.
Will probs get afew bits for bf too.
Very pleased too, treating myself after the mayhem & getting some seriously blingy nails done on xmas eve. I need to spend some money on myself after all!!!

Thanks for your Pinterest Boards FeistyFidget, you have some stuff I was definitely looking for! I have loads of stuff on my Pinterest page. Here's mine for anyone that wants to have a nosey =] http://pinterest.com/raychmayte/
OMO you rock! Does it matter if you use economy soap? I have just spotted that Asda have their basics, 3 for 35p! If the smell is too plain, I have plenty of essential oils that I plan to add :)

I have lots of DIY gift ideas on my pin board here if anyone is interested in peeking

    If anyone is stuck for packaging ideas, I also have this;

Am adding to both daily, just hope I have enough time to make it all!
  • Rachmc, we must have very similar tastes as most of your crafty pins I have seen and liked too :)

After the heads up on Lidl cellophane, I will be making a stop tomorrow ;) I have Christmas gift boxes coming in thick and fast and desperately need to get them done so I can concentrate on my bits :)

  • Just catching up on posts been awol for a while. Had some awful news at my 12 week scan Ive suffered another missed miscarriage (had one before ds who's 3) but its been awful set away then called back told it had grown and till could be hope then I miscarrie on tuesday morning but the hospital wont see me until my next appontment o Tues!!! Ended up in a&e as hadt a clue what was going on saw a lovey dr but he ouldnt get gynae to see me!! Anyway sorry long rant!!

Determined to hadve a great Christmas last year was a wash out Dh nana passed away a few days before Christmas last year (she was 96) and then everyone got ill so was disaster.

Anyway just commenting on the list from children asked ds what he wanted from santa his reply "a yellow mini car (we are talking matchbox cars here not a sit on pedal ride one!) and some chocolate that's it! easily pleased.
  • phew - you have been a chatty lot!
so sorry to hear about the house fire, thoughts go out to both families.
so very jelous of all you twihards that have already seen bdpart 2, im not going for another 2 weeks as dd and i have promised we will go with my friend and her dd, and theyre on holiday until 27th!
popped to tesco today, got my poinsetta £1.75, some tinsel, and some little chocolate satsumas for my dads hamper. I get him a satsuma every xmas, as my earliest childhood memory is of my dad buying me a big tonka truck for my 3rd bday and spending the whole day playing satsuma trucks with me (he also sends me a bag of satsumas for my late-november bday every year!).
we were going to change the colour theme of our tree/decs this year, however, have decided to stick with the red/gold as we have quite a large collection of "special" baubles & decorations. I plan to buy one or two more for each of us this year as stocking fillers, plus kids always get about 2-3 from family, so hopefully by next year i will have enought to cover the tree. There will be no colour scheme, but every bauble is special to us, and in my mind it looks amazing!
sorry, this has turned into another lengthy post, so off to make hot chocolate now & let the rest of you have a say !! :rudolf:
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.
