Hi all, not been on for a couple of days so going to catch up in a minute. Found out today that due to my careful spending/sticking to budget, i will have a spare £200 in december. So im going to use it in the january sales to get a good head start on 2013 christmas/birthdays. Have spent last 3 hours deciding on who will get hampers next year, and suitable themes, just a few are - eldest dd, chocolate - youngest dd, gardening - dh, hot n spicy -dad, golf - fil, tea for 2 - nephews (twins) craft - neice, baking - mum, night in. I have 14 to make up in total, so it will be great to get such a head start, and i wasnt expecting to beable to!
My friends loved the hampers i have made on their behalfs for their kids (a spongebob one, and a gardening one) they have been telling all their friends and family & i already have another 2 orders so im really pleased, i dont make much from them (about £2-£3 after wrapping etc) but i absoloutly love doing them! If only they werent so expensive to post i could set up my own business lol! oh well, its a wonderful little hobby anyway - and a great excuse to hit the shops!!! Off to catch up now, speak soon no doubt lol! :rudolf:It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
Moneysavingmumofone did I dream it or did you recommend an "I believe" sign to me?
Linky in your vast archive of knowledge have you come across a bare tree or twigs that I could use to hang little decorations or biscuits from? Not huge 20/30cm ish
I know you've an awful lot on and I'm in NO NO NO hurry:-)
I'm getting this one. It is 43 cm tall .

If it's too big, let me know, and I'll look for a smaller one. x0 -

Aaw Linky you are such a star, I love it but am I a Grinch or is that a bit pricey? Just realised that I sound such an ungrateful b*tch:(The secret of Christmas

Back from DS's dance exams, now it's just waiting a few days for his teacher to text the results (he thinks he might of messed up two of the eight dances but it looked fine to me).
So now that's it, no more appointments etc until he gets his legs plastered after Christmas so I can now unwind and try relax and look forward to the Christmas prep. Was a tad naughty and got some tickets to see Pasha and Katya (strictly come dancing). Going to put them in my sons dance hamper for his birthday. Oh a request, can anyone let me know if they see a strictly come dancing calendar or annual, not seen any this year but not searched a lot.
The Book People have the strictly annual for £4.99 (although you need to spend £25 to get free delivery) but cheapest I've seen it if you want some other books.0 -

Have you thought of making one from small tree branches. You could spray them any colour you wanted.
You could tie them together with ribbon and put in a vase with stone at the bottom. (Counteract the weight). Or cement them in a pot.0 -
