Back from DS's dance exams, now it's just waiting a few days for his teacher to text the results (he thinks he might of messed up two of the eight dances but it looked fine to me).
So now that's it, no more appointments etc until he gets his legs plastered after Christmas so I can now unwind and try relax and look forward to the Christmas prep. Was a tad naughty and got some tickets to see Pasha and Katya (strictly come dancing). Going to put them in my sons dance hamper for his birthday. Oh a request, can anyone let me know if they see a strictly come dancing calendar or annual, not seen any this year but not searched a lot.0 -
Hi Pinksteps,
Amazon have some annuals (I've looked everywhere on high street and couldn't find them either!). 'Think' I paid £7 for the annual but not sure if the calender availableStopped smoking 20th October 2012
This year I will have something that resembles a garden and not a building site!0 -
Does anyone know how long the Coca Cola truck is usually around for? It is in Croydon tomorrow and I had planned to be there first thing (11) but something I had committed to has had a time change and I won't be able to get there until later. Want to take photos as this, and the Budweiser ad, are my mums favourite, she doesn't live here, so would like her to be able to see it!
OMO, hope all goes well for friends family, it is times like this that a community comes together.
I can't remember who posted the recipe for truffles and I can't find it, but would like to have a go, so if you are guilty, 'fess up please!A smile costs little but creates much0 -

Hi guys
Bought an elf yesterday, so planning lots of mischief for her to get up to.
Am going to get the kiddies to write their lists today, have already got their pressies so hopefully have covered all bases! DD1 wants the Lego friends riding school which we managed to get in TRU when they had 20% off, it was reduced down to £70 so only cost 50 odd pounds instead of the 90 we thought. DD2 who is 5 just says she wants everything she see's so is really easy to buy for.
Saw a trailer last night for Nativity 2, DH didn't look impressed and DD2 would never sit through it, so think I may take DD1 as a special mummy and daughter treat, I think this will be really great as very rarely get to spend any time alone with her.
Have got the kids sorted, but nothing else really, have lots of great ideas, but haven't exactly put any of them into practice.
Hi Picnmix please can I ask where you got your elf from?0 -
I've been in Center Parcs in the Lake District this week (fantastic time had by all) and we stopped for a night in Manchester on the way home. I got 4 Christmas jumpers in Primark (Mum, Dad, brother and other half) for £12 each (had to buy a mens one for Mum cos the ladies were poor), some Spongebob PJs for my Dad as he left his in a hotel in the summer, 4 pairs of fleecy PJs (2 for Grandad, 2 for other half) and 50 tree baubles for £6. It may not be very MSE but its a nice big dent in my festive shopping0

Pinksteps fingers crossed for your DSs results. I'm sure it went better than he thought I presume he is his worst critic!
Ruby_Roo you did well in Manchester - have to admit I'm Mancunian through and through "I love this City:)"
Linky my thoughts are with both families. And obviously if you can think of anyway we can help like Sugar Spun said we are here:)The secret of Christmas
It's not the things you do at Christmastime
But the Christmas things you do

How awful about the fire. I know a family who's boiler exploded (thankfully no one home at time) and all the locals came together with all sorts when they were rehoused.
We have done some Xmas crafts this morning. DS has been singing jingle bells haha so I thought we'd make some stockings out of felt and some double sided tape.
He's watched the grinch 3 times this week...Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0
