  • Awww thanks guys,
Actually this forum inadvertently helped me because as toy deals etc came up such as argos buy 2 get 1 free I bought them and squirreled them away so my daughter will have what she wants from Santa. It's just food shopping that will have to be cut. And I'm not as badly off as some people as I am back at uni so I will get my student finance payment between xmas and new year, so small blessings. But I am a single parent and I did Love my job so i'm really sad :( plus I hate job hunting sigh

Sorry to hear about job losses :(

I've been looking on eb@y at toddler dance shoes. One of dd presents is a term at a dance school. The lady said she just needed shoes while she was little, until she's big enough to decide what dancing she likes best (they do all sorts and samplers for the younger kids). So I thought I'd get her the shoes to wrap. I know she'll love it. Even today at swimming she was dancing on the steps while the ladies in the next pool did aquaerobics lol.

I'll leave it another couple of weeks as her feet at growing so fast lately...

  • I have had a fabulous Christmassy day!! Hardly slept last night because I was so excoted for today!! Got up, had a nice long shower, breakfast, put on my new Christmas CD, my new Rudolph jumper, pants & socks :) picked up my sister and me MIL & DN in town, went to McDonalds and took the 2 wee ones to see Santa, 2 year old DN loved seeing Santa!! When Santa mentioned Santa, DN jumped up to show Santa my Rudolph jumper!! Santa was very impressed :-D then we walked up to the Square to watch the light switch on & fireworks & sung along to a few Christmas songs, sister & DN had a fantastic time, got lots of smiles and cuddles from DN too!! Excited about seeing the Cola truck on Saturday and youngest DNs christening is on Sunday x

hi, where abouts in poundland did you find the bells? also how many were in a pack? thanks

I guess they aren't really bells...sorry poor discription by me. More like a jingle ball with holes in it? It's a pack of eight or ten...half are white and half are red...they are not too wee or too big...I thought they would look fab for with my luggage labels. I promise (providing my kids give me 5 mins peace at the weekend) that I will post a pic of a finished wrapped item...fingers crossed it looks good. They were in with the Xmas decorations, i think they are meant to hang on the tree. I'm thinking of buying some more but by the time I get back to Poundland you'll have all bought them :rotfl::rotfl:
