just popping on to say the works have their x-mas shop open online they have the tags you have been on about for 99p a pack, also have advent crakers, open a cracker a day and on x-mas eve make a nativity from the pieces you've opened think it was £3.99

I also went to lidl and got some cellophane. Had to buy 6 rolls as I couldn't decide between all the patterns! I was getting some strange looks as I struggled to the till :rotfl:

I am going to apologise now, but cooking isn't my thing.:o

I bought some Double cream today to have a go at making truffles.
The cream is dated the 21st Nov. Does that mean the truffles will be dated the same, or does heating it alter the life ?

If they turned out OK I was going to make some for my friends for Christmas. But I am now worried about the dates. I don't want to have to make them Christmas Eve and then run all round town delivering them.

Just found out I'm being laid off from work just in time for Christmas so my Xmas Spirit has evaporated. Love this thread though it's making me feel a little better.

Feel free to vent any anger on here. If you need help finding cheaper alternatives for any gift you had planned, we are the people to find it.
