  • You can buy those East of India stamps in John Lewis or Amazon. That's exactly what I am doing...using the stamps on plain luggage labels plus I've now bought jingle type bells from Poundland to add for decoration with the label. I've never been so excited about wrapping pressies before...will post pics when I have wrapped a few!

hi, where abouts in poundland did you find the bells? also how many were in a pack? thanks
    **Waiting for a BIG win!**

    Thank you all posters!

I bought this one one ebay to go on my brown parcel tags for gifts. Love it!!

Went to Lidl today & bought myself a roll of clear celophane, some christmas pasta, some cute little pegs with xmas trees and stars on for table place settings & also some lovely red candles to go in the wreath table centre piece I am making for my mum.
Also snook in some extra toffees etc for sweet jars & some cards cos they where glittery and nice!!

Hanley25, the snow globes look good. £7ish if I remember rightly? Some lovely little bits there!
  • I also went to lidl and got some cellophane. Had to buy 6 rolls as I couldn't decide between all the patterns! I was getting some strange looks as I struggled to the till :rotfl:

I am going to apologise now, but cooking isn't my thing.:o

I bought some Double cream today to have a go at making truffles.
The cream is dated the 21st Nov. Does that mean the truffles will be dated the same, or does heating it alter the life ?

If they turned out OK I was going to make some for my friends for Christmas. But I am now worried about the dates. I don't want to have to make them Christmas Eve and then run all round town delivering them.

  • Just found out I'm being laid off from work just in time for Christmas so my Xmas Spirit has evaporated. Love this thread though it's making me feel a little better.
