Sorry been a bit here there and everywhere atm so not really joining in as much as i was.. kids, ex's, cars, money etc etc pfft! lol
Those pressies look lovely! wish i had the paitence and time todo them nicely! though i have something special planned for family pressies this year just not the kids hundreds of little bits... lol Oh and dh's of course.
Went into the 99p shop today, forgot to look what i actually went in for! got sidetracked and picked up some of the christmas tree silicone trays.. brilliant for that price! perfect for my snowman soup sticks for school. Also got another toilet seat cover for my sister and noticed they had snowmen ones as well as the father xmas one so may have grabbed one of those too and i finally got some bah humbug baubles which i shall decorate dh's santa sack with (still not found bah humbug sack so shall put something together)
They are turning on the lights in our town tonight.. still umming and ahhing if to take the little ones, It was busy up there this morning more than usual with all the market stalls going up, not sure she'd like it.. We'll see how im feeling later.
I'm knitting up a quick dolls cape, a friend of mine is making her dd a special doll, she is to have hearing aids and a mic key attached to the doll just like the little girl.. So i thought i'd make the lil doll a cape for xmas. Hopefully i can finish it in time to send over the weekend. Then its back onto xmas bits!Totally debt free wohooo 2014

im very very naughty & have just ordered a couple more presents for kids off amazon, only £31.05 spend & things theyve asked for (rrp of £59.99!!) so pleased with them, but I really MUST not buy anymore, i just know dh is going to have heart failure xmas eve when it comes to putting them all under the tree!!! :rudolf:It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0

KMR1984 - the presents look beautiful! :T I love wrapping, but I have to admit, I only do it for the family gifts under the tree - Santas ones are verrry simply done (he has so many to wrap, he doesn't have time for ribbons and bows
)

Hello all!
Hubby is getting very excited now he knows I have some pressies squirrelled away in my drawer for him. Had a ppek through the Curry book and wrote down a few spices I'll need to pick up for his hamper.
I asked bessie mate last night what she might want to xmas and apart from a £1500 Ibook (whatever that is???) which is just a smidgen out of my planned price range of £10:rotfl:she had no idea. So we have set each other a challenge - to a buy a gift/s for a specific room in a specific colour which has to be both useful and funny but doesn't need to be brand spanking new but in good condition up to £10. She doesn't do owt owt by halves, my bessie
So she's given me her kitchen in any colour except pink or purple and I've given her my lounge in a colour that will complement all the chocolate&beige in there.
She's had a few bad Xmasses recently so she's not usually full of the Christmas cheer, hopefully this will re-awaken the magic for her.
First stop - poundland for some xmas pudding sacks
ETA - just found camera lens coffee mug on Amaz0n, will be fab for her as she's a mad photographer0 -
De-lurks to say Hello and to say there were no Christmas pudding sacks in my Poundland this morning.:(
I found this online this morning

OOps sorry - it's a bit big
and bought a jar of hair gel in Poundland today because it was the right shape. Reading the instructions it says to use a glass baby food jar (bit small I'd have thought though) but the jar I have is plastic. Does anyone know if acrylic paint would stick to a plastic jar?0 -
I got my pudding bags in Sheffield, i've told some freinds if I can find them some i'll get some for them, my my local is in Reading so worried they might not have any!
Talking of surprising the OH with the amount we've spent, I took it upon myself this year to get his family some bits and pieces as I had lots of ideas, but I have a feeling that I might have spent far more than he would have done on them.
My close friend's dad died the day after boxing day last year so this will be the first year anniversary, I wanted to get her something meaningful so she knows that i'm thinking of her. Her dad was 80 and not very well so it wasn't entirely a shock. I found a lovely pewter decoration the other day that says 'In Loving Memory' and you can insert a picture in. I was thinking of getting her one as a keepsake so that she'll have a momento of him at Christmas. She's a very close friend but i'm worried I might upset her? She's not overly emotional and she's very laid back so I don't think I will, but it's a very delicate subject!0 -
Is that a homemade lego head?! That is so good!:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0

Can't wait til 1st december - whilst we will be buying our real tree that day (from local forest as always) I think I am most excited about seeing the boys faces when i make up their beds with the Xmas advent duvet covers ;-)0 -
