  • For anyone who has a little girl who loves her dolly. Then on Bhs they have a girls nightie with a matching nightie for the child's doll. It's so cute. I ordered last night along with other christmas Pjs.Both are pink and matching. Hope that may help someone. It looked really unique never seen something like that before. can't post links as on iPad, but if you put in nightgown with matching doll, it should come up x

    They look stunning. :D
I especially like the thread you have used on some of them. That might be perfect for my kraft paper wrap too as the shiny ribbons didn't look quite right when I tried. Did you get it from anywhere in particular?

Edit: I see that it came with the M&S set. :) I'm going to try and track down something similar... :)
  • Decided to pop to tesc@ after school run, just for a look round to try & shift this cold and stop me having another day feeling sorry for myself! I managed to find 2 lovely wooden reindeer decs 98p each, im going to write kids names on them, and these are going to be for santas special present (which is their main pressie each & they dont get it until they open the cracker at xmas dinner & find the first clue for the scavanger hunt inside...very excited about this, first year ive done it!!). I also got a pack of the little foam shapes that im going to use to dress up presents, and i did something which is very unfamiliar to most of us mummys...i treated myself!! 2 pairs of xmassy pj bottoms, some lovely farisle boot type slippers, and a bottle of baileys! I am now going to be a good girl & crack on with the ironing & housework & wait (or try to) until after our evening meal before getting into my new nightwear, cracking open the baileys, and switching to christmas 24....hurry up 6pm!!!
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.
  • KMR1984 - they look wonderful! I've just finished reading the John Lewis Christmas annual and they look like they belong in there! Makes me want to wrap mine now, I love wrapping presents :rotfl:
  • Sorry I can't remember who it was but someone was asking about getting prints on to canvas? There's currently a deal on the Grabbit board where the person got it free and only had to pay £5.99 p&p:

It ends today though. Not sure if it's quite what you're looking for but thought i'd re-post just in case.

Great, will have a look, thanks :)

  • Hi everyone, I'm new on this forum but beginning to get a bit excited now with only 40 days to go! I think I need to get out more :-)
Anyway, am LOVING the already wrapped presents! They look fab, good job. I hate wrapping. Love buying, hate wrapping, love gift bags, tissue and a nice bow, lol.
I have some teenage girls who work for me & last year I made them either little Girls Night In hampers. Got a box & wrapped (yes I did!) it nicely, added some shredding & bits of lameta for sparkle, put in a big bag of popcorn, pringles, a nice boxes of sweets, a bottle of shloer - wine for the over 18's - a girly DVD. I wrapped the lot in that nice sellophane wrapping with a big bow. It looked great & the girls were absolutely thrilled & had a real laugh telling me afterwards about their night in with their mates. Best part for me was that the whole thing cost about £8 but looked soooo much more! BTW - I also made a boys version of this but made it look a bit more manly!
Anther really popular present for this age group was Christmas stockings which I'm sure you've all done anyway. I just bought lots of little bits - nail polish, mini deoderant, hand wipes, hair clips. All the little bits that girls love. I wrapped them individually & put them in a big stocking. Again, it cost me less than a tenner but the girls loved it because they had lots to unwrap & everything was useable. They also liked the fact that they still got a Christmas stocking as their own mums had thought they were too grown up now!
  • Those that have done the truffles how many does it make? If I have time I may do them with my mindees to go with the slabs and candle holder. Thanks.

Welcome mumlady1, your gifts sound fab. I think it's a really good idea to make hampers and stockings, I know i'd love something like that! My two bosses are male though so I won't hold my breath.....:p
  • Golly gosh they are spectacular!

Reminds me actually, does anyone know where I can buy a stamp to stamp some plain luggage tags? Iv amazon'd "christmas tag stamp" but to no avail.

Thanks for the replies RE miniatures btw :D
