Just wanted to share a super easy chocolate truffle recipe I just tried - would be great for a home made hamper!

    Sooooo easy...
200g dark chocolate (cheap is great!)
    200ml double cream

    and that's it!!!!

Gently heat the cream but don't boil then break up the chocolate and pour the cream over to melt it - stir well then put into the fridge to set.

Remove from the fridge and shape into truffles - roll in cocoa powder or hundreds & thousands (anything really - nuts / choc shavings etc etc)

You can also add 50ml of Baileys or creamy choc liqueuer but leave out 50ml of the cream - I am making a batch with white choc and choc orange liqueuer this afternoon and hope that works too!

Soooooo simple but have the texture of the inside of a Lindt choc ball - yum!!!

Anyway hope someone may like this recipe - I do!!!

Perfect!!! Thank you so much this was on my list of things to try this weekend and now youve saved me hours looking for a good easy recipe!!
Life is what you make it.

I also got some pudding bin bags and some santa bin bags ((pic) can't remember the santa ones being mention before)) Don't know if it has been said before, but they would be great for wrapping those big awkward

Hi sorry if I have missed it but where did you get the bin bags from, you're right about akward pressies, I have a couple of doozies to wrap and they look ideal!
    Thanks:D

Sorry On My Own my quote marks seem to have disappeared!

They are in Poundland, with the normal bin bags, not the Christmas bits.
  • It's the b00ts shopping event today so I'm off later with a list and my extra vouchers from last time. Going to see if the b00ts in town have the bits I want and if not I shall get a bus over to the next town. I do hope they are in as some is for DS birthday in Feb. oh and I bought DS a jumper and myself a onesie in the deben4ams sale ..... For Christmas 2013 :D

That's lovely and does answer the question I was going to ask.

I've seen some fairly plain red and white check wrapping paper in Asda (like gingham really) and thought it would look lovely with silver ribbon and tags on but wondered if too plain? I'm thinking no they wouldn't be, they would/will look classy! Going to buy some today! :j

They're from M&S, but were part of a wrapping pack - it was the stickers that convinced me to buy it, they're so cute! :)http://www.marksandspencer.com/1-5m-Believe-Christmas-Wrapping-Pack/dp/B0030VVJC4?ie=UTF8&pf_rd_r=0EBG0TPM8SG1RQ4319Z6&pf_rd_m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&pf_rd_t=3901&pf_rd_i=1000&pf_rd_p=213138347&pf_rd_s=left-1
