Is the Lego City one going to be the exact same one that was out last year? The pieces all look very familiar.
I'd have thought they'd change it up a bit.
I decided yesterday that this year I'd try to put together one of those miniature lit up Christmas villages. And I've already found two little houses in the charity shop today, very pleased!:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -
lego advent - it's supposed to be fire themed - am guessing they haven't released the image for this years yet or argos have messed up.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0

I bought a Christmassy house tea light holder from a charity shop last weekend for £1.50. I hid it before my OH saw it as I tend to keep coming home with Christmas decorations!
I bought my first Christmas present of the year for my OH today, a t-shirt in the Animal sale. He hates clothes shopping so i've decided to get him a few items of clothing to keep him topped up and encourage him to get rid of some of his old stuff!
It was strange coming home on a hot summers day to find the Studio Christmas catalogue on my doorstep! I was still happy though! Although they've changed it so that you have to go through all of the home stuff first, I loved opening up the front cover and going straight into the Christmas stuff! It's not the same opening the front cover to a saucepan set.0 -
WOW! The Lego advent calendars are expensive aren't they!
Princesskitty I too came home to the Studio catelogue on what is the hottest day of the year so far in Northampton! :rotfl:I don't like it since they added all the other stuff, use it more for ideas now and then make it cheaper myself! A couple of little bits I might order though.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

i sent my mum to get one of the handy manny trike from argos today for me. it was £8.69 reduced from £35 :j:j:j this will be ds2's main present!
i have added up what i have got him so far and he has 10 presents worth £191.86 and i paid a grand total of £32.12:T:T:T:T:T
so very very happy there!
we're only going to get him a couple more gifts as he doesnt really need too much, all his birthday things will last him well until his next birthday at least, and hes playing with ds1's imaginext stuff alot atm!
then ive just got to get his stocking and xmas eve hamper sorted.
dd on the other hand, i have finished her stocking. however she doesnt have many present yet. 6 so far (including her main, which is a pink tv/dvd combo)
so far her full price spend is £237 and i have spent £105.74 :T:T:T still need to get her a vanity table, theres one ive seen in argos but its £80 so im waiting (hoping) it will be reduced at some point. and the rest of her gifts will probaly be crafty things as she doesnt really play with toys.
still need to sort her xmas eve hamper too
ds1 has 9 presents (including his main which is a wii package with a game) full price is £314 and i have spent £53.75:T:T:T im going to get him a couple more games for his wii and some toys of some sort along the superheroes/star wars/imaginext route
his stocking is half done, but need to do his xmas eve hamper
how many presents do you usualy buy for your own children? we usually get them about 20 each and with friends and family they end up with around about 30. i will prob do the smae this year for the older two.Mummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -
according to my mother ... too many!
but thankfully I ignore her ...
as she is of the opinion that as she didnt have much and nor did we .. clearly her grandkids shouldnt either lol! ... you can see why I rebelled!
I tend to buy a lot of small gifts through the year so their stockings are full of lots of small things which take an age to open, so I can enjoy watchingeven a small pack of Haribo or funky pen are fun to open when they come out of a Christmas stocking! I was interested last year to see people asking if people wrap stocking gifts? it never occured to me not to wrap them as otherwise you would see what everything is straight away and theres no fun in a rustle-less stocking!
CarlaMarie you are going great guns! Ive got a fair amount of stocking gifts from sales, have DS's main gift, OH's presents, Ive preordered a DVD boxset for DD and a few other bits I will preorder in September, don't have much left to get really, fingers crossed! I'm making up Body Shop gift baskets for a few people, and have some nice Sanctuary and Champneys gift sets from when they did the free set if you spend £10 offers, so far so good! got all my cards and gift wrap etc in the sales
both have big school trips coming up next year which having to save hard for, so they both know they won't be getting big expensive gifts this year as they are both keen to go on the trips0 -

Thanks for the support. Its got to be done and if we can agree on things in mediation it will mean no court hearings! (So I'm told, 1st time I've done this, and last I hope)
Anyway I am going to keep myself busy and have a go at knitting something
http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/directory/food.php
My grand daughter will be 14 months at Christmas and my nieces will be 4 and 2, so I thought some knitted food in a basket would be good, we can then sing 'buns in a bakers shop'
