Chose pendants to suit the recipient, costing about £1.20-£2.50, so have nice gifts which can be kept for a very reasonable price. I have organza bags for them.
Sea Glass is lovely to use as a pendant.

I've been having a think about some presents and i've decided to make 'movie hampers' for my brother and friends who are a couple. Instead of putting a dvd in (as I don't know what they've got) i'm going to get a gift card from Blockbuster so they can go and choose one to watch. Then i'll pop in some popcorn, chocolate/sweets and perhaps a drink to go with it.
I'm also going to make a mini teacup hamper for my auntie, she always drinks her tea from a cup and saucer so i'm going to buy her a pretty one and put in some individually wrapped tea bags, small pack of biscuits (like you get in a hotel), maybe a 3 pack of Ferrero Rocher and a scratch card. I did initially think of making it a pot of gold but thought it might be more apt to put tea related things in.

I think this cup and saucer set is lovely, it says cappuccino but I would love to drink my morning cuppa from it :T

What a night, our fav place a+e.this time mum, she tripped on the rug on Miss Hoodies room, and came worse off, she fell into the bedside unit, got her off the floor best we could.
Then realised was a 999 job, couldn't see her ear for blood, shes sliced through her straight across the middle right through to the eardrum, cut above her one eye, other eye going to be a shiner so her face.
Miss Hoodie she was a star, considering state mum was in, she ran and got the neighbour while I rang the ambulance, running around getting clean teatowels to pad the ear up with, sods law dad was out with the dog, so the male neighbour bless hos heart got in his car and drove round looking for him. The paramedic was going to take her up in the ambulance car as it was too long wait for the ambulance, but they arrived. The hospital sent for an ENT specialist, they've stitched from eardrum outwards, shes not allowed to wash her hair for 12 days!!
I am so pround, considering the state mum was in, Miss Hoodie was shaking herself, yet still made sure that mum was ok.
Good news we got mum home at midnight, xx
Hope your mum is ok, well done to you both for dealing with it so well.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
Another really good christmas film is Annabelle's Wish, it's an animation, with a really lovely simple story, that makes me cry everytime. It has a Country and Western feel as some of the songs and the voice over is done by Randy Travis, but that makes it even better in my eyes.0

Cute! I love cups and saucers. I got all mine from charity shops, usually between 50p and £1.50, you can find really pretty, and perfect condition ones, so I'd definitely recommend looking there too.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -

Having so much trouble sleeping lately even though all the kids are asleep by 8 (younger 3 by 7) I find I'm still up at 1am, I think it's the worry of returning to work in September from maternity
but last night was a productive one!
Won 2 Xmas DVDs for 99p plus post on eBay
A origami starter book and paper for under £5 del instead of the £10+ one on amazon
Got 2 teachers gifts from the body shop (body butter tub, matching shower gel, bath lily in a gift bag) for less than £5 each with 3 large shampoos free using the grab it board before they fixed the glitch!
Was browsing the mcvities VIP club rewards as hubby has amounted quite a few and decided to do a tea/biscuit present for the remaining teachers so got 3 x different biscuit mugs and matching biscuit tube tins for nothing! Will buy the appropriate pack of biscuits nearer the time and wrap/cellophane so about £1 each spent, very happy with that
Also managed to complete another few surveys on ipsos and claimed an amazon voucher to get the sea monkey set I was after with a bit left over then to top it off I was going to send hubby to toys r us today to pick up a toy on sale for the youngest for Xmas but they emailed me a 20% off code so got 2 off of her list for less than the full price of the original one I was going to get.0 -
