I can't wait for Arthur Christmas to come out. We all loved that one.Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.0 -

What a night, our fav place a+e.this time mum, she tripped on the rug on Miss Hoodies room, and came worse off, she fell into the bedside unit, got her off the floor best we could.
Then realised was a 999 job, couldn't see her ear for blood, shes sliced through her straight across the middle right through to the eardrum, cut above her one eye, other eye going to be a shiner so her face.
Miss Hoodie she was a star, considering state mum was in, she ran and got the neighbour while I rang the ambulance, running around getting clean teatowels to pad the ear up with, sods law dad was out with the dog, so the male neighbour bless hos heart got in his car and drove round looking for him. The paramedic was going to take her up in the ambulance car as it was too long wait for the ambulance, but they arrived. The hospital sent for an ENT specialist, they've stitched from eardrum outwards, shes not allowed to wash her hair for 12 days!!
I am so pround, considering the state mum was in, Miss Hoodie was shaking herself, yet still made sure that mum was ok.
Good news we got mum home at midnight, xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Oh, gotta have Die Hard at Christmas! One film I haven't noticed any of you mention is It's a Wonderful Life. I had never seen it for some reason and considering it is such an old film, it was very expensive to buy on dvd and I refused to pay! Suddenly saw it on special on a website for a bout £3, so bought a few copies for people I knew wanted it and like me didn't want to pay anymore than that! Cried when I eventually saw the film.A smile costs little but creates much0

Oh no mum2one that sounds awful!
Well done to you all for dealing with it so well and I hope your mum makes a very quick recovery.
I can't remember who posted about The Holiday (I can't see the thread now i'm writing this!) but I LOVE that film!! It's one of my favourites and I have seen it hundreds of times!I know it's not technically about Christmas but it's so nice that it's set at Christmas and the cottage looks idyllic in the snow.
I am going to make a cinema hamper for my auntie and I was going to buy a £20 gift card from the local cinema to cover the cost of her and a friend going, however i've just seen that through my work I can get 45% off tickets so a pair of tickets will cost me £13.60! Result! :T0
