Vintage queen 72 & LalaGomay - Thanks for your help with my toadstool hunt. I love both versions - sooooooo cute! They remind me of the Faraway Tree book I had as a kid :)

I can imagine TK Maxx doing decs like this so I'll keep checking there until I can't resist any longer and if I've not found any cheaper I'll opt for the others. £7-£8 mark isn't hideously extortionate but I'm trying to be good, hoping they'll magically appear in B&M or Home Bargains.

Went to Dunelm today and came away with some warm white fairy lights -cheapest per bulb I've found. I could have spent a fortune in there on all their Christmasy things. *sigh*. Luckily (?) MrD was with me so I didn't linger!! :)
  • Just caught up :D

Had a quick trip to B&M today, they had some 'Loveheart', 'Drumstick' and 'Sherbet Dip' filled mugs which could be good for anyone doing retro sweetie hampers.

Also noticed some Bah Humbug mugs, mght be good for someone with a Christmas grump to buy for :D

Has anyone seen any nice toadstool decs? I've seen a few felt ones but am looking for red & white glass ones preferably. Absolutely love these ones from Cargo but don't love the price so much and am hoping to spot a cheaper alternative:

might be worth looking in your local garden centre - these glass ones are £2.50ish from notcutts (and I think Wyevale) & they also have packs of 10 small toadstools with wire attached for £1.50

    Xmas Saver!
Well just got back from' the most UNchristmassy ' town.
M&S have their Christmas books hidden behind the counter. So I had to ask for one.:(

I did manage to get a Crooner Christmas CD in the 99p Store. Also 2 packs of plastic silver teaspoons in QD for my Chocolate Stirrers.

I bought the last 6 bottles of The Source Chocolate Shower Gel in our Boots.:o
I wouldn't normally start next year before this one is over, but I have not seen it anywhere else, and I am wondering if it may be a discontinued line.

Now watching Sleepless in Seattle with a large mug of Coffee, trying to get warm.:D

I have also decided Christmas is not here :( , as Sainsburys are not yet stocking their Turkey, Stuffing and Cranberry Sauce Sandwiches.
Once they are in the shop (or rather my belly) I will know Christmas IS Here :j

hi snowman soup is drinking choc, choc chips or buttons, marshmellows ,either in a cone or square bag with a little rhyme stating what it is and a candy cane as a stirring stick can be in a cup or on its own hope this helps :)
Thank you so much for this, I have really wanted to join it but I have only read bits an bobs, I am definitely going to give this a go for sure.

sorry to be so boring and go on about chocolate hampers. I found this chocolate shower gel was on offer in boots for £1.50

Well i am going to order some of the dry shampoo for myself. And I think the more i keep reading about the chocolate hampers the more I am keen on doing it for two of my friends. I love that its chocolate themed yet loads of stuff in there that's not chocolate, and will look lovely and colour co-ordinated.

I wish there was a festive smiley on here I could use!
