Quick pop in...been reading on my phone on the go for last few days, so just had to come on laptop to do thanks.
Can't remember all posts but a few things that have stood out especially....
Carlamarie - hope you are OK.
Ownmyown - congrats.
was it MsDrink with the reindeer cardigan and reindeer bowl? Like both of those, had my eye on that cardigan for a few weeks.
Hope everyone else is OK(sorry I am hungover and cannot keep everything in mind, normally resort to a notebook but I'm just not up to that this morning)
Hello more newbies :santa2:
Hugs and kind thoughts to everyone that needs them.
Have just browsed through a few other threads on the special occasions(can't remember the new name) board and am glad to see that this one is still all happy, helpful and friendly :A
Also thinking how glad I am that this thread will still be around as more and more Christmas ideas come to light meaning Christmas 2013 will be a crafty one, especially since I am now finished(well apart from OH) but have so many things I want to make now13 projects in 2013 0/130 -

No matter how much I've bought I'll still keep picking up bits along the way when I see things which I think are nicer/better than what I've already got or things which will go well with what I've already got. Can't help myself!
Yes normally. Having next years list helps. It takes my mind off this year.
When I see something, I make a note of it and try to get it in the Jan Sales for next year. It can be for a birthday, not just Christmas.0 -

also wondering where chirpychick has got to? hopefully levan has made his arrival.
aww on my own, a little robbie the reindeer! how cute!
huge hugs to everyone that needs one!
ive had a bit of a bad few days. i spent the day in hospital yesterday as i had a bad bleed. i am 17weeks pregnant and after listening to babys heartbeat and having an internal examination i have been told everything is ok with baby :T and its just one of those unexplainable things. i am still bleeding now (not as much) and although i have had the reasurrance by doctor and the midwifes and i have no pain, i am still understandably, really worried! i have slept for most of the day (feeling so drained)
but reading the 10 pages of this thread that i have fallen behind on has taken my mind off my worries and transfered all thoughts onto sparkly, tinselly things instead :T:T:T
on thursday i went for a browse around town and managed to get dd's some sleeping beauty pjs from argos (i think they were a 1/3 off, at £7.99) picked up one of the mini gingerbread house tins from M+S (half price £5) both for the the xmas eve hampers (the biscuits to share)
also picked up fashion wheel reduced to £5 in the entertainer for dd. dh asked if it was for myself or dd. i'll be honest, its debatable:o they really need to worry when shes old enough that i can buy 'her' dreamphone:D
i also traded in all my mil's nintendo ds games in (she tells me to throw them if i dont want them  but i trade them and then every few months buy her a new release).
i got £26 in store credit on a 'happy birthday' gift card. i will top this up, hopefully next week with another £14 and gift it to my eldest nephew for both his birthday on the 1st dec and christmas.
also hoping to buy some spray paint and spray varnish this week to 'recycle' my old tablemats and coasters into some new shiny ones with reindeers on (BEST christmas ever, making special mag page 61, but mine will be gold and purple to match my decs) very excited how these will turn out!
great bargains, you are doing so well!
am sorry to hear about the bleed, I know first hand what a huge worry that is, I had bleeding on and off until 30 weeks with DS from about 20 weeks and it turned out to be a cervical erosion (?) I hadnt realised how often it happens until my friend (midwife) told me she sees it a lot and sometimes they find no reason for it at all, I really hope they have put your mind at ease and you are feelng ok, we are here for you if you want to chat and hopefully we can keep you smiling! look after yourself and I hope it stops soon*hugs* xxx

I know - wait till Halloween is out the way then it will be all systems go!:T
very true, my local Mr T which is a superstore, had wrap and cards out then they disappeared, I asked about it and they said they had put it all away until after Halloween, S'burys has an aisle of chocolates, advents, selection boxes etc and a small gifts and wrapping paper/cards section, but their Halloween section is much bigger, so suspect they will put out the decorations, lights etc there once Halloween is over.
Has anyone seen or bought the Christmas tree biscuit tins in M&S? Ive seen it and thought it looked nice but for £10 I left it, but I see online it's actually musical?0 -
Hugs to Carlamarie, hope you can just rest & chill out. And the rest of the pregnancy will fly by & your littleun will be here0

I was going to buy one, and use it to store sweets. But on asking in store, it would appear once it is opened, there is no way of keeping the contents inside. The biscuits in it, are in a bag.0 -
Oh my! I signed upto MSE in early October to keep up with this thread as I was enjoying it so much. Then life got in the way and I'm sure you've added another 100 pages!!
I had better go catch up
I already have plans this week to drag the OH to Bents Garden Centre, Ikea, Home Bargains and Card Factory - shall see what else can be added to the list!
It is entirely my intention to forget "life" for a bit and immerse myself in all things Christmas0 -

Thanks everyone for your thoughts - I am really fineLevan still safely inside lol - I have been trying to catch up with the thread and the other day I had finally caught up and tried to post and then the website went down :rotfl: so then i had to try and catch up again and its taken all this time
carlamarie I know easier said than done but try not to worry yourself, take things easy. If it's any consolation I also had some bleeding unexplained - I put myself on "sofa rest" and within 4 days it had stopped so i recommend lots of tlc and rest xx
Christmas -
I had my 34 week scan on Friday and on the way home we were passing Matalan so I went for a mooch, the highball glasses with Christmas trees on are much nicer and bigger than they looked on the website so i treated myself to one.
I got hubby some slippers - he likes the moccassin (sp?) type and they were £8 and look very nice.
I got the baby a santa hat for £2
I really wanted the snowman outfit that was on the website expensive in my eyes at £8 but I LOVE SNOW!!!!! however they didn't have it in stock
Yesterday we had a bit of a clean and sort out upstairs and wrapped all the presents for other people just need some shredded paper to go in the bottom of Mum's hamper and then wait for Levan to arrive so i can print some photos of him and put them in the frames and wrap them and put them in the photo christmas cards (which will be going out late if he goes overdue lol) then presents are done!
I'm going to buy my Turkey next week and then I really need to make list of what other food i need to buy in.
Apparently winter is looking more and more likely to be snowy so i definitely want to have as much in / done as possible before baby makes his arrival.
trying to balance organising baby and christmas and prioritising at the moment
Hope everyone is doing well - look forward to being back in the loop now i have caught upEverything is always better after a cup of tea0 -
am so glad you are ok and everything is going well Chirpychick!
Own My Own thank you! I kept thinking how lovely it looked but hasnt realised it rotated and played Deck The Halls! so you have to take the biscuits out and then use it empty?0
