Just to get you all in the mood (as if you needed any encouragement), an early Christmas card......

I can see this taking me all week. I'm only on page 3.

But you have got to see this. (again for some)

You need to read the message at the end.

The founder of Yankee Candles sold the company in 1998. His son has started the Kringle Candle Company https://www.kringlecandle.co.uk
Some people think that the quality of Yankee Candles has been diminishing recently - the shop I usually buy candles from is changing over to Kringle Candles. I treated myself to some today. They sell some of the Christmas fragrances all year round. I've just lit "Snow-Capped Fraser" - my sitting room smells like Christmas trees!

have got to page 11 :j

I live close to an MandS outlet, I could pop in tomorrow and look

That would be great but just if you're there anyway, don't put yourself out.

Everyone's so kind in here

Thanks so much for looking. You seem to be able to get everything but slippers :(. Think Lego are missing a trick. He specifically wants slippers so don't think the trainers or clogs would be any good but I will have a look. Might hae to convince him spiderman slippers are cooler :rotfl:

    Thanks again :)

Are you crafty at all? If you were able to build something like this (just the top part), then hot-glue it together and stick it to regular slippers that might be an option?

Another good idea, not sure I'd be able to manage it though. Could probably make a pair of slippers out of Lego but don't imagine they'd be too comfy :rotfl:
  • Hi I generally lurk listening to all the happy Christmas planning! I absolutely love Christmas :rudolf: and spend at least 6 months of the year negotiating how early I'm allowed decorations up in the house... (boyfriend is officially the grinch but we've negotiated 1st Dec so far...)

I've just had an idea and wanted you lot to tell me if it's silly as nobody else seems too excited by Christmas yet! My boyfriend isn't too keen on chocolate but is an obsessive tea drinker... I've noticed twinings sell individual tea bags on their website and even have some christmas and winter ones! Do you reckon it would work if I made an advent calendar?! New flavour of tea each day! Was thinking of making little pockets for each individually wrapped tea bag? On a Christmassy background (tree shaped maybe? Rudolph? thoughts?)

I think it'd cost less than £10 so I could do it as an early present! What do you think?

Will give them a try, they might be worth a shot cos none of the shops seem to have any.

I think it is a brilliant idea. I am thinking of making my Mum this NEXT YEAR -

Have seen the slipper socks on Amazon uk so might steer him in that direction if all else fails. He doesn't like wearing crocs so don't think they'd be any good.

Sorry for the multiple posts, I'm stupidly trying to catch up on here & do other stuff at same time.
