  • Morning, I was hoping one of you wonderful MSErs would be able to help me find something. DS has very little on his Christmas list (more interested in finding ideas for his little brother) but one thing he's asked for is a pair of Lego slippers. I've hunted high & low & can't seem to find any anywhere. The only pair I've found (Lego batman) are on eBay & the wrong size but hey look like they were from M&S so they've obviously done them at some time but nothing on their website now :(

Has anyone seen any on their travels? Not bothered if they're Batman, Star Wars, Harry Potter or anything else, as long as they're Lego themed. Can't believe Lego don't seem to have brought more out, I'm sure they'd be popular.

    Anyway, TIA :)
What size is he? In case I spot any on ebay or in a shop near me. :)

I like the last gift tag best OMO.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
  • whitesatin - thanks for more ideas, they're always welcome! :)

tab1967 - congratulations on the birth of your grandson! I love the name Oscar too. Hope you feel better soon. x

Own My Own - fab idea for the new thread! My only reservation is if we call it a 'January Sales' chatter thread, other people may join in with their bargains and then hate us when we turn it into a Christmas thread in the summer! :rotfl:

Gleek - ahhh I love thay website with the Bright side stuff on, there's hardly anything I don't want! :D
  • I think this may have been mentioned on this thread before but can anyone advise me of the best place to buy cellophane for my hampers? Also, are most rolls big enough to wrap a basket? I suppose I need to work out the size of my basket first and then look at the size of the cellophane. I want to put my basket in the middle of a piece of cellophane then gather it all up and tie ribbon around it.
  • me too! I will be here come New Year starting all over again! :D

I agree with your comments, the people on here are the lovliest, Ive seen some things on forums (not here though) which made my hair stand on end, some of the things that have happened when I was helping run a forum were awful, there are a few people out there who are very troubled and make it their mission to upset or manipulate others to make themselves feel better or have some control, and it put me off forums for a long time, but everyone here is lovely and so kind and thoughtful, so thanks to all of you and I hope being here come New Year will also help with the after Christmas blues! :rotfl::T

I must agree with you, we have had births and deaths, good days and bad, annoying friends and even more annoying relatives, people ready to offer help and advice or just a friendly ear to listen, Ideas and inspiration and like minded people always at hand. This thread MUST continue. X

Ok we'll just call it -

**THE YOU KNOW WHAT**2013 Chatter Thread

I'll add a link in this thread so everyone can find it.
I will also put links in the first post so everyone know what we are REALLY about.:rotfl::rotfl:

I think it may be a good idea to keep all links in the first post, so they can be found. I will just edit it when anybody adds one. This way in October we won't be hunting for links posted in June.

I have quite a few links ready to add. They are mostly 'Make Your Own Gifts' links. I don't want to make this thread a' make your own' one, but they will be good for hampers etc.

Ditto to both sets of comments! I've left every forum I was ever a member of, this is the only one that remains, everyone on here is so helpful and understanding. Like most we've had a rough couple of years in so many ways and these will continue in the time to come, but there's been lots of fab times too.

Plus in one of those mad people who starts shopping for Christmas in January and I'm always Christmas bonkers so it must continue!
