There was loads I wanted to comment on but it's all got a bit much now! Good luck and best wishes to all the mums-to-be and mums-that-might-already-be - we shall wait to hear! Welcome newbies and lurkers, and well done to everyone on all bargains! Also thanks to those of you who gave me ideas for the golf boxers, I shall check out TKMax and Next.
The only Christmas shopping i've managed this week is a book and dvd for my OH. I have a massive long list typed out all ready to be bought, i'm itching to get out and buy it all but I just haven't had the time! I'm going to pop to Poundland at lunchtime today to make a start. I found this on Amazon that I really want to buy for my OH as we've just bought a home together:

But it got me thinking that this might be a good present for any men that are hard to buy for? You could fill it with chocs and things for Christmas. Just an idea if anyone is stuck.
I'm getting excited as i'm going home to my parents in a couple of weeks and they have a Home Bargains so i'm setting some time aside to go in there! I'm also visiting my auntie in Sheffield at the start of November and i'm hoping they have B&M's (is that what you call it?) or similar! :T

Dont know if these have been answered but.....
A few of us had a ladies night last Christmas and we all had to bring a bottle of flavoured vodka to try out. I did Werthers vodka, took a few weeks but was definitely worth it.Its best to leave it in the freezer and everytime I went in the kitchen I gave it a good shake. Freezer is best as it thickens it up. Was absolutely gorgeous! Others that went down well were pineapple cubes, blueberry sherbet, rhubarb and custard and jelly babies (separate colours).
I can safely say the worst was humbug vodka, everyone hated it!
I just asked around family & friends for any half bottles they had that they had floating about in the back of cupboards with old remnants in that they didnt want and washed them out thoroughly. Failing that freecycle?
Doesnt sound pretty but this is how my Werthers one turned out
Hope its not too big
Somehow I completely missed your post :rotfl:
I am loving the labels on you Werthers Vodka.:snow_grin
It can NEVER be too big.:snow_laug0 -

I'm another one that doesn't want this thread to go away. Everybody is so friendly and happy on here-even if they are having problems in their lives-yes there are plenty of other threads and loads of really helpful threads and posts but then there are others that seem judgemental and scary.
I was a long time lurker of MSE and had already started the meal planner and budgeting the shopping, and not using a different cleaning product for every different room in the house. BUT I only signed up to join when I found this thread and had read through a lot of the pages as this was a place I felt welcome.
me too! I will be here come New Year starting all over again!
I agree with your comments, the people on here are the lovliest, Ive seen some things on forums (not here though) which made my hair stand on end, some of the things that have happened when I was helping run a forum were awful, there are a few people out there who are very troubled and make it their mission to upset or manipulate others to make themselves feel better or have some control, and it put me off forums for a long time, but everyone here is lovely and so kind and thoughtful, so thanks to all of you and I hope being here come New Year will also help with the after Christmas blues! :rotfl::T0 -

Yes lets all stay and go right from the start of a year :T:j
Two other things....1) I just managed a multi quote
2) When the boots 3 for2 was announced I had a look around website, couldn't see anything I liked but did find a morph money box for my sister(who always loved morph) decided to get her it at £8.99.
Now thanks to the kind of advertising were you are online reading a newspaper article but get targeted advertising I have just seen boots have now reduced this to £4;50 *sulks* I'm not bothered about the money but I'd rather not have known, is there anyway to turn it off?13 projects in 2013 0/130 -

Congrats on the multi quote :j:j
Don't think there is any way of turning if off.
I also find it really annoying. My 2 use this laptop, and things I have been looking at for them, pop up on the side when they are on it.:mad:0 -

I had my list, put my details in and it asked for payment details for the 20 pound deposit and no where to put voucher code in. So anyone that as done it already can you share any light on where it is. maybe the early bird offer and voucher code is not meant to be used together. hope someone can share any light. Thanks in advance x
Yeah looks like your right. I had a look and doesn't appear to be a code box unless I too am missing something. I guess they don't want us using the code and have a bottle as well. I wonder if it would work ordering in store?0 -
