  • Could anyone possibly post a photo of the christmas jumpers from Primark? Ive finally convinced my OH that we should go this saturday! :j
    What else is worth buying from there christmas wise? I keep reading about blankets or am i getting confused?

    Im so excited.. I feel like a child on christmas eve! Its amazing how much a shop excites me :D

    I have bought all my jars for my sweetie pressies, just trying to work out how to tie the ribbon round & the tag!

    Also bought me & OH Derren Brown tickets for next year as his surprise, just got to get clothes & stocking fillers for him.

    I bought a fleece throw from there yesterday for £5.00 and they were in the middle of putting the Christmas display together so I'll need to go back and check. They also had t-towells, bathroom mats etc (I'm in Cardiff)
  • thanks Kez! found it, hadnt realised it was in different place to the main website :grin:

    here is what they say about use by dates/freshness;

    Guaranteed freshness

    We guarantee freshness on all orders, so you'll enjoy the same standard of quality whenever you collect from us. All products ordered for Christmas has a guaranteed date for a minumum of 26th December. For products ordered for New Year, these have a guaranteed date for a minimum of 1st January.

    I do always get a little frustrated with them in store as I always buy my Christmas stuff there and even on 23rd I will find 'use by 24th' or 25th, so then have to go back again on 24th for one with 26th use by etc, which I REALLY don't like doing! :grin: sometimes you are lucky if you move everything and go right to the back you might get better UBDs, but not easy when it's crowded!
  • I have a Jamie Christmas DVD - I've had it a while so could be 2006 - it's very good as it gives you ideas for food from start to finish. How to prepare your kitchen, how to prepare the meat, how to make gravy (I still make this gravy every Christmas!)

    thanks! :beer: have ordered it from amazon, £1.27 used - VGC, I love how his shows are all cosy and Christmassy in the kitchen with the tree and lights, it's quite magical! I always do my roasties the way he does them, I have the Christmas magazines from the last 2 years but really love watching the shows
  • snugglebunny I had a little research online and couldn't see that he was doing anything new for this year. I haven't seen his 2006 series but i'd imagine it's still relevant, not much would have changed food wise since then! I want to buy it now! :rotfl:

    My OH and I usually have a 'date night' on a Thursday and he just called me to say he doesn't really feel like going out tonight but we can pop to Asda to look at the Christmas stuff! :j I know he's only saying it because he wants to go to McDonalds but i'm still chuffed! :D And I still get to spend quality time with him...

    aww thanks for looking for me! Ive ordered the dvd from amazon £1.27 delivered VGC used, got great reviews and ellie9ellie has it and recommends it

    bless your oh! x
  • Oh, M&S Christmas food, how I love thee.

  • cant find the first post. where are you getting these xmas dvds from???

    I haven't ordered them yet, They're still sitting in my basket because I found an offer online for some clothes at more than amazing prices ,for DS to give his dad as a xmas gift that was just too good to pass up!
    They are from CEX. There are loads of christmas dvd's for 50p each :)
    Just type 'christmas' into the search box and pages and pages come up .
    Having a coke with you
    is even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
    or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona

    I am not much of a baker but I will, if I may, copy your ideas using the fabric hearts that I love to make. I will use Christmassy colours instead of my usual Cath Kidston. Where do you get the cones?

    Hiya, of course hun. Your ideas sound fab! You will have to pop a pic on when youve finished it.

    I want to get Arthur Christmas as we went to the Cinema last year to watch it but it doesn't get released until November :(. I've got 7 free cinema tickets as I saved the codes of the chocolate packets so I'm waiting to see what this year's Christmas movie is :D
  • My 17 year old daughter still has three Furbies that sit on her windowsill. I amuse myself sometimes by setting them all off to talk to each other while I am changing the beds.:rotfl:

    This made me lol :rotfl::T
