It is on there today! I saw it earlier via my phone! The code for £5 off a £30 spend is at the main header page of food to order! It also mentions about the early bird offer (chocs or wine free with voucher emailed to customer and to be redeemed instore when collecting your order) if booked before 11 Nov!

I've never used the Christmas food to order before but no matter where I'm looking I can't see anything about use by dates, does anyone know how well the food is dated?

  • I have added 9 dvd's I've wanted to basket and including delivery it only comes to £8.75! So less than a pound each really. Which is great and much cheaper than me getting them separately on amazon like I was going to! Just need to check the bank before I pay for them though, I did the shopping today and haven't even looked at the statement for the past two weeks so for all I know I may well have 1p to my name :rotfl:

I had two as a child, They were the twin ones you could buy in a double pack. Everyone was very jealous of me :D Best part about it was my mum got them for me for free in a competition! Very mse! ;)

I forgot to mention earlier today as well, I don't know if anyone has noticed them yet but in tesco, in the christmas food isle they have a bag of christmas marshmellows. Without looking up close you can't tell but they are actually shaped like snowmen and reindeer and christmas trees and although they are not 'mini' they are certainly not as big as a regular marsh mellow either, About the size of 10p i'd say.
Thought i'd mention it as they might be perfect for snowman soup etc ?
They were 50p for a fairly decent sized bag.
    HTH someone :)

cant find the first post. where are you getting these xmas dvds from???
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.
  • snugglebunny I had a little research online and couldn't see that he was doing anything new for this year. I haven't seen his 2006 series but i'd imagine it's still relevant, not much would have changed food wise since then! I want to buy it now! :rotfl:

My OH and I usually have a 'date night' on a Thursday and he just called me to say he doesn't really feel like going out tonight but we can pop to Asda to look at the Christmas stuff! :j I know he's only saying it because he wants to go to McDonalds but i'm still chuffed! :D And I still get to spend quality time with him...

Had to cancel all my calls today as feeling grotty and sorry for myself. Still got fairy lights up from last Christmas :xmassmile so switched them on. Also ordered Elf for £3.47 from Amazon. Will probably treat myself to watching the Santa Clause today.

Went in Iceland yesterday, got some 'baubles' which have Christmas designs, they are metal and open in half to reveal 5 good sized chocolate coins in character foil. Thought these are really good as they can be filled with goodies next year too. Are a fair size and have hanging ribbon. £1.50 each.

Need more Christmas book recommendations, please. Done a couple from earlier in the thread (3 day rule and 12 days) and sent a link for another to DS to buy for me. Need more reading material or will have to go back to 50 shades and TBH, I prefer the Christmas stories :snow_grin

  • M&S is online. Go right to the bottom of the home page and it says Christmas Food to Order - or someone posted a link yesterday. You need to pay a £20 deposit but I can't find anywhere online to put a code and I can't use my M&S card. Am I missing something?

  • does anyone have the Jamie's Chrismas DVD? I wanted to get it but it is 2006 so wondered if it's still relevent? although a lot of reviews say it is, what do you think? I watch him every Christmas but does he do a new Christmas show each year? not sure if they are repeated! was paying attention to the food LOL!

I have a Jamie Christmas DVD - I've had it a while so could be 2006 - it's very good as it gives you ideas for food from start to finish. How to prepare your kitchen, how to prepare the meat, how to make gravy (I still make this gravy every Christmas!)
