What's going on in this world ?

Only ONE of these TRIFLES has JELLY in it.:(

Trifle with BANANAS in it ? NO ! Bananas stop the JELLY setting. (As does kiwi, if anyone fancied making kiwi trifle with JELLY):rotfl:

I'm moving away from traditional trifle (as I don't like it!) - also can't be chocolate (DS doesn't like it) or alcoholic (small children will eat it, I hope!). So in any recipe that mentions any of these items there will be a slight adaptation................

I would like trifle a lot more if it was 99% dream topping and 1% everything else (ohhh with hundreds and thousands)

I completely agree, trifle HAS to have jelly in it. I love the Next bowl, spotted it in the Christmas book and i really really want it. Christmas prep going well, got both dd's a primani christmas jumper £8 each. Ones green with a robin and the other is red with rudolph with a red sequin nose. Got a lovely Merry Christmas plaque from Laura Ashley that was reduced to just £2.50, must last years stock as looked at this years and though its absolutely gorgeous its bloody pricey !!!!!

Had a walk through iceland and they have some nice biccies and chocolates out so im going to try to make time to have a proper look tomorrow. Got the M&S gift guide, there's some lovely stuff but our Wilkos still haven't got there's in but did get some of the glade winter candles that were quite cheap.

Hi long time lurker so thought I'd join in if I may? Love Xmas and tonight I've been to see Santa at my local garden centre as he was opening their Xmas shop lol. Was great sampled loads chutneys, chocs, marmalade and port! Then had a free mince pie and free hot mulled wine in the cafe. I also bought some candy canes but they were a bit dearer at £1.59! Wanted to buy everything but was good and just bought the canes and some brandy liquors as a gift.

    Welcome and Hello con1888,

I cannot believe Furbies are back:eek:

Many many years ago, my cousins daughter (Now 23) wanted one for Christmas. We hunted everywhere, with no avail.:(

Then, there I was on the 3rd floor of Hamleys,(minding my own business) when a voice over the antenna said
' We now have a small number of Furbies available to purchase on the 3rd floor.'

I turned round and they was a shop assistant with about 15 of them in a large string bag. I casually walked over and asked for one,'
I got it and started to walk away when I was confronted by a scene from Jingle All The Way.:rotfl:
They were coming on every escalator, from every direction !
It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. All these normal people suddenly becoming savages.:rotfl:
I got some REALLY dirty looks.

But I was the BESTEST cousin in the world for the whole year. And I have never let her forget - WHO GOT THE FURBY :D

I had one too when I was younger, im 23 this December. I am going to get it down from my parents loft in time for Christmas so they can see the ORIGINALS, none of these fancy ones that interact with their ipads. :D

I got them in the Argos 3 for 2 which was a bonus as I basically got my nephews present for free :T

I have no idea what to get the rest of the family and bfs family but will think of something, the kids are sorted and they are most important.

I'm getting an Ipad, a Wok set and Yankee Candles, anything else is a bonus :j

Can I join you Crazy Christmas people.

I am a Christmasaholic and I love it all.

I have three children and I try to start picking stuff up once they go back to school after the 6 weeks holidays. I also buy for my Dad and my Nana, my Aunt + Uncle.

Am going to set a budget and stick to it this year. Have been saving my Nectar points for Christmas food.

:jI have been saving my nectar points too but OH keeps trying to spend them:mad: I think I have now managed to persuade him they are for Christmas!
