Managed to get the Rudolph game today for the Cubs. Will try to get the DVD to go along side so they can watch that first before playing the game.
Also managed to get some of the bubbles that you can hold for 50p each in Tesco. Only 2 colours but thought they might be a fun item for my sons (14 year old) stocking.
Local B&M were putting out there Christmas light display today. Thought this may help someone, don't need any lights myself.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

I'm joining in !!
I love Christmas ( but hate the fact my birthday is on the 20th as it doesn't feel special).
I have three gifts in already for my two nieces and my nephew, all bought in the argos 3for2 - two furbies and a bounce and spin zebra.
Welcome and Hello con1888,
I cannot believe Furbies are back:eek:
Many many years ago, my cousins daughter (Now 23) wanted one for Christmas. We hunted everywhere, with no avail.:(
Then, there I was on the 3rd floor of Hamleys,(minding my own business) when a voice over the antenna said
' We now have a small number of Furbies available to purchase on the 3rd floor.'
I turned round and they was a shop assistant with about 15 of them in a large string bag. I casually walked over and asked for one,'
I got it and started to walk away when I was confronted by a scene from Jingle All The Way.:rotfl:
They were coming on every escalator, from every direction !
It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. All these normal people suddenly becoming savages.:rotfl:
I got some REALLY dirty looks.
But I was the BESTEST cousin in the world for the whole year. And I have never let her forget - WHO GOT THE FURBY0 -
My 17 year old daughter still has three Furbies that sit on her windowsill. I amuse myself sometimes by setting them all off to talk to each other while I am changing the beds.:rotfl:0

Right I am home and finally caught up.
So today I managed to get candy canes (79p in Home Bargains for a pack of 12!) :j red and white peppermint ones
Some marshmallows - but unfortunately not mini ones, just normal size that I will cut down as I'm impatient to be finished.
Remembered I needed some money wallets so picked those up, and also in Home Bargins I picked up a tube of the mallow drumsticks, they have tubes of all those type for 89p.
I was in a rush as my sister was picking me up so didn't actually get time to look around for other stuff in there or pound landalthough I do have to go pick photos up tomorrow and so will drag other half for a wonder around now that they have more stuff out (nearly a full half of one aisle in HB)
