Has anyone seen a lovely plain glass trifle bowl with deep sides on their shopping travels?

I have the Pampered Chef one and love it. A friend of mine sells PC online, if you like or you won't be an an Ikea before you need it I could link you to her FB page? She often has special offers for 10% off on the page.

Went in Argos in my lunch break ( would like to say popped in , but 25 mins for a reserved item is not popped anything:mad:). Anyway they have all their 2013 annuals half price. There were stacks of them as you queue up.

It doesn't seem to make much difference where you buy them LOL, WH Smith are BOGOF but £7.99, Argos are £3.99, Tesco are £3.86 but neither of those do the Brownies annual I want anyway.

Thankyou that would be great, although can only really afford the Ikea one, LOL!
  • I am so loving Sainsburys right now, their gifts are lovely! Bit pricey some of them but they go onto 3 for 2 soon and then just before christmas usually all go half price! The christmas stuff is literally spread over the whole store in random places so if your store doesnt have much its worth a look around! Today I bought 2 lantersn (holds a tealight) one to match the red one I bought the other day and a gorgeous white one. They also had blue, teal, navy and pink small ones £1.05 each, the white one was £2.10. Would make a lovely gift with a few tealights!

Also, anyone looking for Fruit salads/blackjacks Sainsburys had a mixed bag of them for £1.11. :)
Just spotted a deal for the works on grabbit, 20% off code and 99p delivery. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4223267 Some good stocking fillers like books for 59p and practical jokes 59p 2 for £1. Also nice christmas ribbon! You do have to search each category though to find it all. :) I just got a Coca cola christmas tray, its lovely. :jOnly 2 left! http://www.theworks.co.uk/Coca-Cola-Father-Christmas-Tray/5022896776017.html

Ref: marks and Spencer's Xmas food brochure/online ordering

Still not picked up brochure. As Ellie has said. Should be in stores tomorrow for those stores that didn't accidentally put them out early

The website isn't live yet but the website is ready to go live tomorrow. Here's the link (through the back door) :)

Regarding ordering, good idea from previous poster (sorry forgot your name but did thank you) about putting in 2 orders so you can save £5 and also get free bottle of wine

Edit: only some of the links actually work at moment.

Edit 2: looks like link now taken down completely. Been rumbled :)
  • Sorry for the double post but I've only just seen this post, Can anyone who has got the game already confirm that this is the right movie for the game?
If it is I'll order it now from the link posted :)
The postage is £2.50 but if you search 'christmas' and then refine it to the stock available online theres lots of cheap christmassy dvds/cds to make the delivery charge more worthwhile. I ordered 11 dvds a few weeks ago for a total of £10.75 delivered! They did post each one in a seperate padded envelope though, that was a load of parcels!! Im sure I read on here though that you can answer most of the questions without having seen the film?

I just took a look at the outdoor Christmas tree in a tub which we bought from a garden centre in December last year. I just left it in its tub and left it in a hidden part of the garden. It seems to have new growth and is looking nice and healthy.

It is making me think of how I got my two grandchildren to help decorate it in the outdoor porch last year. They were so excited (age then almost 3 and 2 and a half). They still remember doing it and are already talking about us doing it again. Last year I had solar lights, not that successful with the lack of sun at that time of year. This year I have the intention of having an outdoor socket in the porch so I can have proper lights.

I tell you what, I am so glad I have grandchildren as an excuse to be OTT at Christmas, otherwise the neighbours would just think I am a batty old lady. LOL.
  • thanks for the M&S info and link, Rebel Hedgehog! will check it out tomorrow!

welcome to all newbies and ex-lurkers! , so lovely to have so many like minded peeps in such a lovely friendly and welcoming thread :)

Dunelm have just dispatched my Christmas fleeces, thought Id put them in the CE hampers - for the person who asked (sorry forget who and its on last page! ) for hampers you could add DVD as others have said, magazine? popcorn, maybe a Christmas cd? can get them cheap on Amazon Marketplace - as other have said there is so much for the little one, for the 11yo; my DS is 12 and am putting DVD (Elf) Christmas fleece and new pj's, sweets, sachet of hot chocolate - perhaps you could add hot chocolate and put in some mini marshmallows, a chocolate stirring stick? I noticed Hotel Chocolat have Rudolph chocolate lollies and slabs at reasonable price, might be nice to add?
