    hello all!

It has taken me almost 2hrs to catch up on 20+ pages. I can't remember who's posted what though, sorry.:p

To whoever explained how they do their hampers using a wrapped up box, thanks! I'm def going to make one for DH for xmas eve :D

So sad to hear from those who will find xmas distressing or are struggling to look forward to it due to loss of a loved one, I hope you all manage to enjoy xmas time and remember all the fun times you've spent with them, they will always be with you in your heart.:grouphug:

My 8yr old neice wants some books for xmas, any ideas what I can buy to go with them? I don't want to just wrap up 2 paperbacks, not very exciting. Do you think she's too young for a reading light? A bookmark obviously but anything else? Thought I'd try to make a reading hamper.

Hoping when we get back to the main site on Mon, our dvds will have been delivered whilst we've been based in the factory:D

Sorry I've not thanked all posts, it was takingf ar too long, kept refreshing the page after every thank

off to clean up whilst DH is out at footy.

    catch you all later xx

reading light would be fine at that age, my DD had one aroudn that age. In Next today they had very cute pink and white Hello Kitty Pez Dispensers, not sure but I think they were £2? at that age mine absolutly loved those, every year now I get them a new one themed to whatever they are into at the time!

his missus, i love the reading hamper idea! i'm a bit of a bookworm ^_^ depending on your budget/your niece's taste, i'd go for:

a blanket/throw to snug under while reading.
some little sweets or snacks; hot chocolate maybe.
a teddy? depends if she's an 'old' or a 'young' 8.
and the bookmark's a good plan.

my lovely nana once knitted me a pair of fingerless gloves, so i could still turn the pages :) this may be more of a 'poor student/mse enthusiast who needs gloves indoors because she is too stingy to put the heating on' present though!!

can't think of anything else but if i do, i'll post!

I done exactly the same last week, got to the shoulder of DS snowflake jumper and realised I had done 2 extra rows at beginning. Put it under the stairs, guess I should face it again soon

I think picmix is getting confused with the numbers...... I assume she means DD1 (who is 8) and DD2 who is 4.#
Tho if you do have 8 DD'sWOW you are some brave woman!! :D
Sorry, yep I meant DD1 is 8 and DD2 is 4, not sure why I decided to add their ages in that way :o

However my aunty has 8 DD and 2 DS
  • I'm probably too late, but smeone wanted to know about Cadbury's chocolate coins for their daughter with a nut allergy - The Range have them, I don't know how much though as they were still being put out. Hope that's helpful :) I also have a nut allergy, so I might try these myself (I have just 'helped' myself!).

I'm off to Primark intwo weeks to try and nab myself some of those duvet sets, I usually wouldn't pay more than £10, but I love reindeer, so I've been talked into buying them :)

Hope you're all happy and well

Hi, can I please join in? I've lurked since the thread started, but I'm now getting more organised and can't wait for Christmas. After reading the last 20 pages or so, I have been inspired x

I have 3 kids, I try and make it as magical as possible for them.we have an Elf ( well 3 now) who arrive on Nov 30th with advent calanders, a letter from Santa and loads of crafts for the kids to do during Dec.

They love PNP and NORAD too. I just can't wait. :snow_laug:snow_laug:snow_laug

So far I have most of DS- it's mostly Ben 10 and Avengers stuff. I've got everything either cheaply or on offer through the year.

I have just stocking fillers for DD1 and DD2 as the wee one is getting a play kitchen, but we have no where to hide it just now.
