Do you also have a Debenhams that isn't really a Debenhams ?

Unfortunately not :( No Debenhams or like it :( Must have been Binns :) I've lived here my entire life and I can still never remember which is BHS and which is Binns :rotfl:

Own My Own – I doChristmas Eve, hampers from a Christmas Elf (to my parents, niece/nephew) andput a label on ‘return to Santa’. I havedone hampers as presents in the past as proper Christmas presents, but I don’tdo them in baskets, just wrap a cardboard box in Christmas paper.

Kayandy – I didadult Christmas eve hampers last year, one for my (then) boyf (now husband) andone for my parents – I had Christmas pj’s, dvd (it’s a wonderful life, theirfav chocs, a Christmas bottle stopper, alcohol (my parents had a bottle ofwine, put bucks fizz in boyfs), Christmas blanket (dunelm mill), Christmas musiccd (home made) and a few other bits I can’t remember! They were v impressed, somuch so I feel pressure to do them again this year!

I have spent lots of money on the Book People website - all bargains though and googled lots, comparing discount codes to make sure I couldn't get it any cheaper elsewhere!

I really am in the Christmas spirit now! Off to bed to watch a Christmas DVD with OH - our 5th in 5 days! (Christmas does start in October doesn't it?!)
Thankyou for this given me some ideas :)

    Hi all

On the subject of hampers, I saw very nice trays in Dunelm Mill last weekend, they were painted metallic red or metallic purple. They had small chips or scratches so were reduced to £1.29 each. I picked some up, sanded the scratches a bit, then repainted with arylic paint (metallic gold, red or purple which I already had).

I can now use these to arrange the hamper type goodies on, celophane over with a bit of ribbon and they should serve as hamper alternative quite nicely. Plus, they then have a new tray to keep :)
  • Hello all! Well today has been a rather successful day managed to get 5 people's presents done and I'm under budget :D

TX Max had some really good deals on I got a Knayton Hall de-stress kit for under a tenner when usually they are about £40-£60 quid. A lovely Baylis & harding sweet mandarin & grapefruit shower set (all three products are full sized) for £9. A few cute mugs for various family members. I also managed to get my work mates done as Wilko's had 120g galaxy bars going for 50p each.

I also came home to find my Hotel Chocolat sample tasting club choccys came today so I will be bagging those up for the stocking fillers :p

I just have three couples to buy for now, I find couples so hard to buy for sometimes, trying to set a budget of £10. for each couple probably doesn't help :rotfl:

Well done on the shopping this morning.

Morrisons have gift sets and boxes of sweets/chocolates 3 for £10.

If you got 3 sweets or chocs you would still have £20 to play with.

You could get a case of beer and split it up for the men. And some mini bottles of snowball or cherry brandy.(Savers do them for about £4) for the women. I don't think Bucks Fizz is very dear either.

EDIT- Been mentioned before , but how about these -

6 of them only comes to £16. So you would still have £14 to play with. You could put chocolate bars in them, and sachets of hot chocolate.
  • just a quick message as in town dropping my daughter off to her dance class, my local home bargains in Bridgend has the Rudolf scene it game, I just picked one up, there was loads on shelf so for anyone in surrounding area that want one, hope that helps x
