So no real xmassy pressie updates, but I thought I'd share this with you anyway. We found out my OH is working a night shift on xmas eve (10.30pm - 6.30pm). With no public transport on xmas day, it looks like I have to go and pick him up. Now we've both looked at the onsies in Primark and its no an unspoken joke that I will get him a monkey one, and he'll get me a penguin one. We've decided to give these to each other as xmas eve pressie before he goes to work. Then when I go to pick him up the following morning, I'll wear mine in the car and he'll wear his on the way home. So if you see a monkey and a penguin driving around at 6.30am on Christmas day - give us a wave!

Then back to bed for a few hours!

:T:T:T Now that is a plan.

  • Damzel_In_Distress-Hehe, hope your Dad comes up trumps soon RE Twilight. ;):D

Own My Own-Your poor neighbour, thank goodness you were there! I use a cardboard box covered in wrapping paper. If i manage to find DS christmas pyjamas (!) he will get them on 1st dec so they wont be in it. I usually put in a book, DVD, hot choc, mugs, marshamallows, a choc penguin or similar and a few other christmassy bits. Basically all stuff we'd use on xmas eve anyway but it looks better in a basket hehe. :D

ReformedShopaholic-Am with you on the financial lock down bah. :(

StarSquishy-I LOVE that haha! I so want a onesie! :D

I think we do kind of have a hamper without the actual hamper :D

    Re: being snowed in.
I get a bit bored. I love being indoors in the winter, because I choose to, not because I have to. I get a bit stir crazy if I can't get out. Its the claustrophobia.:(

Own My Own – I doChristmas Eve, hampers from a Christmas Elf (to my parents, niece/nephew) andput a label on ‘return to Santa’. I havedone hampers as presents in the past as proper Christmas presents, but I don’tdo them in baskets, just wrap a cardboard box in Christmas paper.

Kayandy – I didadult Christmas eve hampers last year, one for my (then) boyf (now husband) andone for my parents – I had Christmas pj’s, dvd (it’s a wonderful life, theirfav chocs, a Christmas bottle stopper, alcohol (my parents had a bottle ofwine, put bucks fizz in boyfs), Christmas blanket (dunelm mill), Christmas musiccd (home made) and a few other bits I can’t remember! They were v impressed, somuch so I feel pressure to do them again this year!

I have spent lots of money on the Book People website - all bargains though and googled lots, comparing discount codes to make sure I couldn't get it any cheaper elsewhere!

I really am in the Christmas spirit now! Off to bed to watch a Christmas DVD with OH - our 5th in 5 days! (Christmas does start in October doesn't it?!)
