A weekend away from this thread and it has taken me an hour to catch up!

We had an absolute nightmare this morning, it was DD's first kindergarten day. Up at 6.35, had to wake the peacefully sleeping child and roust her out of bed. Snackbox packed, clothing labelled, hair braided, shoes on. Quick call to KiGa to make sure we're due at 8 and not 9 and their response is that she's not due till the 10th.

    There's German efficiency for you.

I think we're going to head out to the zoo once our heating-checking-over-man has gone. She's just peeling herself a carrot for a snack, lovely child that she is. And while she is occupied I am going to break out my Christmas planner :D I also need to dig out a gift for the birthday party we're going to tomorrow.

Next has loads of nice Christmas stuff up on the website.

Someone mentioned a fake fur Christmas tree from there earlier, and I thought it sounded bizarre. But it's actually really cute! I want one.

    Ninth Anniversary Combo Breaker
Made 20 odd quid of sales on ebay last night so that bolsters the chrimbo budget a bit! Only trouble now is packing it all up.... zzzzzzz!

Had a lovely feeling earlier when DD1 saw an advert for something on tv and said she'd ask Father Christams for it. I smiled and said thats a good idea..... its already upstairs in the wardrobe!!! xxx
  • I have been disgustingly organized this year I got all my cards, wrapping paper, crackers in the sales in January...I have an asda savings card for the food shopping currently at £500 and I have bought all the kids presents when I've seen what they want on sale (Amazon, Argos Buy 2 get 1 free, Asda 2 for 20 etc) all I have to do now is a few token pressies for friends and I'm finished. I've actually shocked myself I'm normally the stressed red faced woman running around Xmas eve!.. I intend to have everything wrapped next month.

I've not been able to catch up with the thread as I'm about 2 weeks behind and there's just too many posts :o But can someone please tell me what the name of the app thats been discussed? My phone goes everywhere with me, whereas my notebook & pen I usually use for my xmas lists doesn't always make it out and about :rotfl: I'd love to be able to take DD to physio, to school and then go straight into town to do the shopping and I'm not organised enough just yet to remember the notebook :o

    Need some quick advice.

I got dd a Paul Frank tote bag today in Claires. It was £10 down from £25, and in the 342.

I only got one. I have just thought I could have got 2 older nieces them instead of money. They are 2 of 4, so the amount I allocate is not large per person.

so A Do you think I could take my bag back tommorow for a refund, then buy 3 for £20.

and B Their present would have only cost me £5 each, which is less than the money I give them. Is this Ok.

and C If I can get them , do I get them the same bag or different colours ?

Try to take it back if they'll let you. I'd buy different coloured bags. If you're worried you won't have spent enough on the pressies, see if you can buy a purse or bag charm to go with the pressie. Then again, they're not going to know you bought them at a bargain price...:D
  • not seen the diaries yet, did you get an email with an offer for them?

yeah this morning so keep an eye out :D

Popped in this morning, they changed it with no bother. So I now have £75 of gifts for £20:j or £6.66 each:j

Am hoping to get back into town when I leave here, so will have a look for something to go with them. I usually give them money as I don't see them, but the bags were too much of a bargain not to get them.
Only problem now is what to get younger 2 as I can't really give them cash now .
