pinknfluffy28-You said it so well!We are all in the same boat, we love christmas and we want to give our loved ones the best we can, and I know that regardless of how we live, what we earn etc, we all will, because we have heart, and we have each other! :rudolf:'They only had one cow!'0

Went to BM stores today and have got my first Christmas bits, including a doormat that says Santa Stop Here. I am all excited! Due to various reasons I only moved out from home two years ao so we love to decorate the flat at Christmas. I got some lovely little strings of LED lights that are battery powered from QD this week too. Only £2.00, my daughter has them round the head board if her bed and loves them!I promise that I will do my best.....0

I too dispise tinsel. I think it looks cheap and all I remember is my parents house when I was younger being covered in it! Now I avoid it like the plague! I love anything glittery, but tinsel just doesn't do it for me!
I hope all is well now you are back from a&e, sounds like a stressful day!
And possession, I hope it all works out and that's the only blip that occurs. Mines normally Xmas eve when I realised something vital ha been completely overlooked.0 -
Next has loads of nice Christmas stuff up on the website.
Someone mentioned a fake fur Christmas tree from there earlier, and I thought it sounded bizarre. But it's actually really cute! I want one.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -
LalaGomay - where did you get you Xmas toilet paper from? REALLY, REALLY want some, but when I looked last year was v expensive!
Kayandy - who do you bank with? I am with Natwest and they have machines in some of their branches that count coins and put it straight into your bank account, with no deductions or fees so better than coinstar. I use the one in Stockport (a few miles from Manchester city centre) but I am told one of the Manchester city centre branches has one too.
OMG just googled Bents after reading about the place on here, despite living in Manchester all my life I have never heard of it, but will definitely be going there this year!!!!
I'm with the royal bank but thankyou
I also hate tinsel but love glitter0 -
BBTHREE there is a smaller bents in Liverpool 1 if you do get over to the North West0

Ok, here goes - long random post alert! Well, over this weekend I have had to catch up with about 50 pages  but Im finally done :j.
I hate tinsel on the tree (have little beads) but have it over picture frames. Also hate the celing decs as someone said - dont know what it is but cant stand them. We decorate front room, hallway and the kids have little trees in their rooms and fairy lights about their doors. As we are in a small flat thats everywhere bar the kitchen, bathroom and our room. Def gonna get the toilet roll ths year (never seen it before) and think I might do the Snowman fridge (our fridge is silver too and covered with rubbish so will decide later). OH wouldnt let me ever put anything in our room
Chirpychick - re your avengers hamper Im sure I saw bits last year (wallets, tshrts etc) that said Super Dad on them (as in Supetrman style) - Superman is in Avengers, isnt he? If so, this could work.
I want a Bents!!Sounds amazing. Also someone asked for reviews on Winter Wonderland (I know this is yonks ago) but I went for the first thing last year. To be honest I wast that impressed - it was nice dont get me wrong but sooooo expensive! We wasnt smart enough to eat before we went and the food there is ridiously priced! Its effectively a big funfair but smells like Xmas lol. Think I spent about £70 in 2 hrs! And it was just me ad my 2 kids (7 and 4 at the time) and we only ate something small between us.
Little update on my activity; Used the stacking Disney store codes that were recently on grabbit and finally got my advent calendar (the draw one), also got a few Xmas pressies that I was gonna buy anyway so very happy with that. Finished my twos stocking (bar chcolate coins and elfs). Half built my uncles sweet tree and looking quite impressive so far so happy with that. Thats about it really.
Also, Im up for a southern meet if anyone else is (Im in London).
PS Im subscribing now so hopefully I wont end up with mountains of pages to catch up on again0 -
