My dd bring me a mince pie and glass of Baileys on Christmas Eve, on the Santa tray I used to put it out on when she was younger.

It was a while after she stopped believing that she asked what happened to the mince pie and drink. She looked disgusted when I said I ate them.

The following year she got the tray out and asked ' Do you want your pie and Baileys ?'

Well, eating it was my own little tradition by then.:snow_grin

My sister always used to put out a glass of sherry n mince pie for Santa. One year she put out brandy by accident, "Santa" downed it in one (thinking it was cheap sherry) and had quite a shock :rotfl:

  • Hi everyone, hello more newbies.

I'm always really careful with Amazon now, always pick the free delivery but have noticed when I do the 1click it automatically picks for paid delivery instead sometimes. Have nearly been caught out a few times (crafty Amazon)

Just wondering for those that do set an amount aside for Xmas spending-if you order something online and do have to pay delivery, do you take that off the budget you have set or do you just pay for the present and not account for the delivery charge? Does that make sense to anyone?

I took the delivery charges into account but went way over my budget anyway so probably not the best person to offer advice on this.

Yes that makes sense. What comes out of my purse is what comes off my budget.

My price includes postage. I agree that amazon are crafty with the postage.
