  • Hi to all the newbies :)

I brought this with my £5 money off voucher (I didn't get it personalised but I love it as the Christmas Tree decoration for our baby's first Christmas) It is even more beautiful in real life than it looks on screen.

I had my flu jab today and then we went over to the inlaws for lunch out (their treat for DH's Bday). Afterwards we went to Sainsbugs and they had loads of Christmas food out already! More than Morrsons and T3sco! Then we went back and looked at DH's and BIL's baby photos :rotfl:

Hubby and I combined our Arg0s vouchers to buy the baby car seat and black out blind and then we will get a £5 voucher back so found 2 outfits for the baby which were £2.99 each so costing us £1 - I am very happy about this!

MIL also got us changing mat, blankets, vests, sleepsuits as well as Winter clothes for hubby and trainers etc so we are pretty much done baby wise

Tomorrow hubby is taking me into a town we don't go to often as they have a huge £1land and a Primarni and a huge wilkies as well - I need to find 3 very cheap stuffed toys for the dogs stockings (probably £1land), I am going to try my might to find an avengers money box instead of the cadburys one. I am going to try and have all my Christmas shopping done by end of day tomorrow :T (im going to write a list in a minute whilst enjoying my cadbury elf :D)

Then all I need to do is wrap, write cards, buy food.
However some presents include a picture of the baby so I will obviously need to wait until he is born to do those :rotfl:

Also today in morrsons they had what i call traditional cadburys chocolate advent calendars 2 for £3 so ive told hubby im sending him back up there tonight (its a 2 min walk) or pop in tomorrow and get them. He asked me why now and i explained that if baby is born 30th november and im in hospital that when i get home i will have 2 or 3 or more chocolates to catch up on :j :rotfl:

I last year got given a 12 month subscription to BBC Good Food Mag and they are doing the 3 mags for £3 offer at the moment.

If anyone see's a similar offer for either weight watchers or a ladies magazine that would be suitable for my mum (47 into health and fitness) or a cycling magazine then id be very grateful if you could let me know.
Everything is always better after a cup of tea
  • Had another brainwave to go in the grinch hamper.. im going to attempt to knit a grinch keyring too lol. Probably just his head but we'll see, i may get carried away.
Had an email telling me my wooden craft bits have been sent... got some fairy doors i have to decorate and some signs etc. can't wait for all that to come then i can get on with trying to make them look good lol.

For those who have found the mythical haribo tin in Tesco - am I supposed to be looking in the normal sweetie/choc aisle or in the Christmas aisle? I looked in both today when I did my shopping and couldn't see them...

And also yay to the news about GBBO!

mine were in the season aisle, with the other tins, selections boxes, cards etc :D
  • welcome Bodmin 789, will look you out a link to the grabbit board

    Hi,

I'm another lurker, I really enjoy this thread and am slowly catching up on the pages - thanks to you I've bought the Gooey Louie game, got my eye on the Monopoly, and have printed out the Snowman Soup recipe, and have bought the hot chocolate and mini marshmallows.

Now one thing I can't get the hang of is the grabbit board, is there a link??

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,

To those looking at the personalised bauble on notonthehighstreet or etsy I just wanted to say that all they have used is a tube of glitter glue and it can be done easily yourself. I thought it would be hard but if you put it on a mug to steady it and do half, wait for it to dry and then turn it over for the other half it's easy.
