I've got my 10 yr old a Blackberry Playbook. He's a DS so the rest of his stocking doesn't really apply. How much did you want to spend? Does she have iPod, DS, camera? My DD is into Monster High, she's a little younger but I do know of 10 yr olds still into them. What kind of things does she like?0 -
a huge ask here but at 8 mths pregnant with a 12 mth old baby who's into everything all day, i've not had time to read back,if i do sit down for 5 mins, i fall asleep hehehe, could someone pls pm me the marks and sparks discount code and if anyone knows if argos def starts its 3 for 2 offer tomorrow, a massive thanks in advance! i am getting withdrawals from this thread and feel i am missing out on lots, as soon as little miss madam goes to bed tonight, OH will be at the football and i'm gluing myself to this laptop
I don't think there's been any definite start date yet for the Argos 3 for 2. The discount code for M&S mentioned finished on Sunday sadly. I'm sure there will be another one along soon though.0 -

Thanks - we are getting an iPad as a family present this year so no point getting her a playbook of her own. She has everything I can think of (we have a huge family) she is no way spoilt as she doesn't actually want anything lol which makes it extra difficult!
She's not into dolls at all, she doesn't actually sit and play with anything really, She likes Moshi monsters but she has a subscription already and loads of the figures & tins.
Dh has said to get her clothes but that's really not very exciting to open lol

As possession has said its a 'rumour' that's the 3for2 Argos starts tomorrow. You can always reserve items tonight and pick up tomorrow if the sale is on xx0 -

Please don't take this the wrong way but if she has everything, wants and needs nothing then I really don't see the point in spending money for the sake of it on things she doesnt want.
Can you give her some money to put in savings? Or perhaps book a family day out as her present?
Clothes may not be very exciting, I get that, but very practical and save you money in the long run as you wont also have to buy them on top of everything else.
Just a few ideas.Everything is always better after a cup of tea0 -
Feeling rather festive today.. i've changed my plug in airfresheners to spiced apple ones, bought a tin of quality streets for our xmas eve hamper then i went in poundland and got some 3d baby blankets which im going to cut up and make into our elves sleeping bags, oh and got a red postbox money box which im going to use as a prop on one of our elf activities lol.
Been looking our for some plain wrapping paper to go under the celophane i have to wrap special pressies for and some orange ribbon and red velvet ribbon, not found any yet though, still a bit early for our shops i guess.
Going to sit down this afternoon and continue with some of my xmas knittingTotally debt free wohooo 2014

Thanks Cc - not taken the wrong way at all, I think the same I don't want to spend just for the sake of it, but when the other 2 have a big pile and she doesn't I'd probably feel pretty bad for her! She's rather easy going so doubt she'd care lol
Probably get her a couple of pieces of clothes then (again shes bloody hard to get clothes for as shes so skinny and tall lol) perhaps a voucher?
Oh I can only see this getting harder in years to come

Home bargains have the dvd of Diary of a wimpy kid for £2.99. Box of choccies?
My girls are 10 and 11, and on birthdays they ask for money because they cant think of what they want, they like going into town and picking out their own stuff.Good enough club member number 140 -

Hmm tricky! Are there any DS games she'd like, or is she into art and craft at all? My DS likes sketching so have got him sketch pad and pencils and a watercolour set which was in the sale ages ago, but they do similar stuff at The Works. Maybe a dressing gown and pajama case? Or would she like a science kit? That was one of my favourite presents at about the same age.
If you want to give money/vouchers but you also want a pile of presents, perhaps be creative about how to present them eg stick one to a balloon and wrap that up, save big empty boxes and hide a coin or two in there, etc.0
