Sorry don't know if you already do this , but how about a day out, just the two of you without her younger siblings. I take My Dd out every year for a girly day at Christmas ( as ds has asd it is quite a treat).

You could go shopping to get her Christmas clothes. Just tell her they will be wrapped up. My dd always finds something that she can't decide about. I tell her to put it back if she's not sure, then get it for her as a surprise.

We have a grown up lunch ( not a McDs ) and if time we go to the cinema. My dd loves it as she grown up for the day . (well she is now at 15)

Eek a xmas thread!. I saw a owl money box on the poundland website, i heard owls are in fashion this year?. it looks nice, they have two designs. http://www.poundland.co.uk/product-range/a-z/owl-money-bank/

One with pink wings or yellow wings. Maybe ok for a xmas pressie for a person into owls, they also have other xmas stuff, and i heard next website have xmas stuff in.

Not sure if this will be of any help but I have a little sister who's 13 (but young 13). For christmas I'm going to be doing her a bag of things instead of one main thing. Went down a storm last year. I'm putting in:

    Lip gloss
Bath bombs (cute ones not standard round ones)
    Nail varnish
    Brushes
    Mini hot water bottle
    Jammas
    Choc face mask
Mug with mini mashmarlows and hot choc
    Chocolates
    Slipper boots
    Fluffy socks
    Make up.

Surprisingly this will all come under £30.
Faced up to my debt Jan 2012.
  • ooooooh fab! you are the first!!

what's it like?? can I ask how it was delivered? am I looking out for Royal mail van or Parcelforce sort of thing? :D

It was delivered by our normal postie (in a van as it's a rural area), and came in an enormous outer box. I am so glad that it didn't arrive at the weekend when DH might see it!
I haven't opened the cellophane yet but it looks super- I also got the DVD's with the characters in from amazon a while back, although so far I seem to be the only one excited about those!
Will put it away until 1st Dec I think then bring it out as a surprise.

Hope everyone else gets theirs soon too. x

  • Does any one know if Lush products can be used on children with eczema? DD would love some but her skin is quite sensitive x
Spreading a little Christmas joy all year round :santa2:

Dream cream works wonders for eczema, I would pop into your local Lush they will able to tell you which products that would recommend, but I have a parent who has severely sensitive skin and all she will now use is Lush products as they are better for her skin than the products prescribed by the doctors.

Lush use non chemically treated lanolin which means there are less chemicals in it that those prescribed by the doctors.

They are about using as few chemicals as possible as many natural ingredients as they can and they ethically source them too and don't test on animals.

    Hope this helps :)
